BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m an executive at an accounting firm. We connect with business owners and provide accounting consulting about the employees’ retention credit.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with SP Tech?

We mainly receive leads through Facebook and work with a company that manages our Facebook campaigns. The leads we receive on Facebook later go into Salesforce and then into Airtable, which is our actual processing machine. We needed assistance connecting all these different services and setting up customized fields. Our leads are expensive, and when a new lead comes in, we need to send them to one of our account executives immediately since speed is one of our biggest conversion rates.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

SP Tech has helped us integrate all the technologies we use for our sales funnel, which include Facebook, Salesforce, and Airtable. SP Tech has made an overhaul to our Salesforce platform and presented us with three different possible solutions. 

Our project’s scope of work is integrating Facebook with Salesforce by creating round robin lead assignments, listviews, and customized fields so we can understand the incoming data and better serve our end clients. Some of the project’s deliverables SP Tech has helped us with are Facebook integration, Airtable integration, lead integration, and customizing Salesforce views and management dashboards. 

What is the team composition?

My primary contact is with Bhanu (Co-Founder) and another of SP Tech’s leaders. I know a development team of 4–5 specialists is also working on our project. 

How did you come to work with SP Tech?

I found SP Tech on Upwork. Our original job listing was for Facebook optimization leads connected to Salesforce. We realized our project required much more customization than we thought and ran into problems we didn’t know we had, so the original project’s scope increased drastically. 

We interviewed 5–6 companies that contacted us through Upwork, and SP Tech showed us the solution approach they would take on our project and answered our questions immediately. SP Tech had calls with me despite our time difference and showed their professionalism and knowledge — that’s why I decided to go with them.  

How much have you invested with them?

We have a $3,600 budget for this project, and I’ve asked SP Tech to work on a proposal for the project’s next two phases. We want to maximize our usage of Facebook, Salesforce, and Airtable. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with SP Tech in March 2023, and our relationship is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

SP Tech has gone above and beyond to meet our expectations. SP Tech is highly technical and smart. We had a conception of how we wanted our pipeline and layout to look, and SP Tech was great at sketching the layout on a whiteboard. SP Tech is so fast at sketching the layout that it seemed like a pre-recorded video, and SP Tech would have the discussed layout by the next day. I’m impressed by how quickly SP Tech has delivered the work.

How did SP Tech perform from a project management standpoint?

I’m the one that delays work, but SP Tech meets every single deadline. SP Tech is always ahead of us, and if I ask them to deliver something by a certain date, SP Tech surely does it. We communicate through text messages, email, and Microsoft Teams. I feel as if SP Tech is part of my company. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

I’m most impressed with SP Tech’s quick responses and technical ability. SP Tech is also nice to work with, and we always have good conversations during our meetings.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I can’t think of anything for SP Tech to improve. They’re focused on delivering the project and have done exactly what they said.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I recommend laying out the entirety of your project’s needs and doing as much research as possible before contacting SP Tech. My biggest issue has been thinking my project was simpler than it is, and I then realized there are many more steps to it that I hadn’t considered in the beginning.
