We experienced zero surprises in timelines. SP Tech was highly responsive—often available outside business hours when urgent clarification or support was needed. For instance, during one critical deployment window, their lead DevOps engineer stayed online with us well past midnight to troubleshoot an integration error that was on our end, not theirs. That kind of commitment was rare and deeply appreciated.

What I found most impressive about SP Tech was their ability to understand the complexities of the healthcare sector and translate that understanding into technology solutions. They didn’t just apply a one-size-fits-all approach; instead, they tailored every element of the system to our specific needs. They also had a strong focus on security and compliance, which is critical in healthcare. The way they communicated with us was incredibly transparent—they made sure we fully understood the technical aspects of the project without using overly complex jargon. This allowed us to make informed decisions at every stage. Additionally, their post-launch support has been superb. Overall, our experience with SP Tech has been highly positive, but if I had to pinpoint an area for improvement, it would be around providing more proactive user training for our staff post-launch. While they did provide some training during the handover phase, there was a slight learning curve for some of our team members, especially with the more complex features of the software. Perhaps having a dedicated training period or more hands-on support during the initial adoption phase would have made the transition even smoother. What was the scope of their involvement?

SP Tech helps us execute our email campaigns. They step in to help with most of the campaigns we run. Their primary responsibility is to implement our campaigns. We feed them the information and tell them what we want the campaign to be. They then input that information into our email service provider (ESP). They also make adjustments as needed.

When they first started working with us, they helped create templates based on our needs. After we set everything up, the engagement became a straightforward execution. We give them many files and things to send, and they do that on our ESP.

We regularly work with three people from their team, including SP Tech's co-founder.

How did you come to work with SP Tech?

They had already been working with us for a year before I joined the company. Then, I took over the position and started to manage them a bit more. The working relationship has been pretty solid.

SP Tech is excellent to work with. We communicate via Slack, Zoom, and Google Sheets. And, of course, the ESP that we use.

Bhanu has been phenomenal. He goes above and beyond whenever we ask for something. He ensures that things are completed, his response time is swift, and he's a fantastic person to work with. It's because of his effort that our partnership has been a success.

SP Tech is willing to jump on calls and respond to emergencies and urgent priority items. Their response time is speedy. Whenever things come up that we haven't predicted, I can expect an answer from them almost any time of the day, which is helpful because our company is running 24/7.

What challenge were you trying to address with SP Tech?

We needed help with Salesforce UI-focused development for a web app and custom software development.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

SP Tech focuses on Salesforce UI development, which is helpful because we have a lot of backend knowledge but don't know how to make the UI work in-house. They've done two projects with us so far, and we have some ongoing projects.

We've had a discovery phase for both projects. We've already done some work on our end, and I act as the architect on our side. We know the plan and what we want to build. We walk through the entire plan with them, and they get a deep understanding of what we're attempting to do.

We did some in-house development for the first project, and they did just the UI. We developed an audit system alongside them. I was creating the backend, and they were developing the frontend. They built an interface and custom software that lived on top of Salesforce.

We also started with a discovery phase for the most recent project. SP Tech aimed to help us understand all the ins and outs of the plan before we got going.

What is the team composition?

There were 2–3 developers on the first project, and for the second project, we have two developers. I don't necessarily hear from everybody who's involved in the project, but those are the people who are on the regular calls. That's always in addition to the project manager. So Bhanu is our project manager for both and is always on those calls.

How did you come to work with SP Tech?

We found them through a referral from an employee working with us at the time. Once we started talking with SP Tech, we found their rates reasonable and very competitive. We also got a good sense of direction from the principals—the co-founders, Bhanu and Neeraj—whom we spoke to, so we decided to proceed.

We've spent under $10,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We've hired them twice on a project basis: the first time from November 2023 to February 2024, and the second time we started in October this year, so we have an ongoing agreement.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Both of the projects have been efficiency gains. Since the newer project is recent, I can't exactly say what the impact has been yet. The older one is an audit system. We review how well our team performs their jobs by looking at the data in Salesforce. The way we were handling it before was very challenging. It was a lot of getting in touch with me or another developer to make changes.

We provide a framework on the backend, and SP Tech creates a UI that looks at the current framework and pulls it in live. Now, our team no longer has to wait for changes to that structure. They no longer have to wait for development time or have to know tricky stuff to figure it out. They can go in and make new questions, surveys, or audits whenever they want. They can make changes, and all the past and future audits have been and will be well handled. It makes it easy, which has been a massive gain for us, especially with the turnaround time.

It's around 70% easier for them to go in and get things moving and make those changes.

How did SP Tech perform from a project management standpoint?

They've communicated well throughout, and we had weekly sync meetings during the first project. Usually, when we start a project, we later have little add-ons, but they always communicate when it will go over the initial quote, which is fine. The rates are so reasonable that it rarely matters to us.

They've delivered on time both times. During the second project, we stacked needs and feature requests higher towards the end, and they still delivered faster than we initially asked them to. We had to shave a whole month off the timeframe, and they still got it in on time with all the add-ons.

We primarily use Microsoft Teams, some email, and Jira. They have an internal project management tool called ClickUp. We've been using Jira, but for ease of use, we'll get access to their instance of ClickUp to collaborate directly with the tool they use daily.

Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to give a shout-out to in this review?

Bhanu and our other developer are both excellent to work with. And they just make it easy. Many developers, especially in this line of business, can be stubborn for different reasons, but they're very receptive.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Sometimes, getting your ideas through to other developers can be challenging, or they want to do things their way. However, SP Tech is open, and they make it easy to fulfill your vision as you're working with them.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I'd like to see them adopt a more consultative approach. I'd like to know how they come up with the solutions when I engage them and say I want to solve a problem. I want to bounce some ideas off the people making those decisions. They usually come up with something and bring it back to you.

I'm an ideas person, so I like to be involved and walk through it. I want more visibility there, but it's a minor nitpick overall.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

You need someone who knows your stuff very well and has a grasp on the technical side. You always benefit from that when you hire any developer. SP Tech will meet you further down the way than many developers will. It's not a requirement, but having somebody on your team with that institutional knowledge is always helpful. They can get that from you and apply their development and organizational expertise on the Salesforce side to the projects.

BACKGROUND

I’m the president and CEO of Avnew Health, a musculoskeletal care coordination company. We focus on improving the lives of healthcare participants and minimizing the expenditures that occur in a traditional model by providing therapies directly to participants within five minutes. Although we don’t provide medical advice, we maintain compliance for our clients, plan sponsors, and participants.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with SP Tech?

We’re not medical professionals providing virtual care, but we’re providing things that if you were the son of a physical therapist or orthopedic surgeon, you could get therapies that you wouldn’t know about otherwise. We’re giving those to the laypeople a program where they can receive support from our staff if needed.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We've worked together on a concept where each client gets their toll-free number through Salesforce and Twilio. Their participants are given the number to call when they have joint pain or discomfort and get core therapies that otherwise they'd have to go to the doctor or physical therapist for; this is a patent-pending process.

When a participant calls the toll-free number, all the data interacting with an IVR is captured in Salesforce. We used Microsoft Visio to diagram the step-by-step processes for the IVR. We ask five questions, and within five minutes, they receive therapy from our website based on the location of that pathology. Four days later, if the individual has identified that they use their cell phone or can receive SMS messages, we send them a follow-up asking whether the therapy was good. If not, they're steered to talk to our core staff, who work with them directly to work through the process within the medical industrial complex of primary care.

We also want to get them to a physical therapist quickly. The first and last sections of the call are modular and can be used for any client through Twilio; the stuff in the middle is already locked in. We have a voiceover actor who has done the voiceovers, and we have the capability in Twilio to track and report everything.

Additionally, we've integrated Ruby on Rails into the CRM so that when a participant calls our number, it collects the information and provides it to our care coordinating group to schedule a participant's convenience interaction. I came up with the idea, and then SP Tech put all that integration together within Salesforce.

What is the team composition?

I've worked with two key partners of SP Tech based in Atlanta: Neeraj and Bhanu.

How did you come to work with SP Tech?

I had worked with another service provider to get all of my account stuff set up in Salesforce, but it was too expensive when we wanted to build this new concept with them. After that, my Salesforce account executive introduced me to SP Tech.

What is the status of this engagement?

We've been working together since January 2023, and the engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

SP Tech has been integral in our work to maintain data in a HIPAA-compliant environment for our clientele. The team has helped us create a positive, unique care delivery.

Additionally, we anticipate that 70% of the time, the therapies we provide will resolve the joint pain and discomfort that participants currently experience. The way this has been put together, we can handle hundreds of thousands of participant interactions.

How did SP Tech perform from a project management standpoint?

Whenever we have a question or something isn't operating correctly, my contact in Atlanta is very easy to work with. He has the team working on it immediately, and I get a turnaround within 24–48 hours without a problem. We communicate through phone calls, Zoom, and Google Meet.

Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to give a shout-out to in this review?

Bhanu and I have become very close. When we were working on something, Bhanu was on a cruise with his family. I left a message asking for help to resolve an issue; he then called me back and helped. When I meet him, I will take him and his family to dinner.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I can't speak highly enough about SP Tech. I make a call, and they pick up. They're highly responsive, and I get what I want delivered on time. I'd use them for anything I need to have done technology-wise, and I know I'll get great work at a reasonable expenditure.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Sometimes, there's a bit of a language barrier when dealing with people who didn't grow up in the US. I can't always determine what was said. That's not a complaint; it's just adjusting to people I'm not used to hearing. As I mentioned, they used Microsoft Visio to diagram the language used in the IVR. When they built and integrated it into the IVR system a couple of times, they either cut it off or made it too long, but it was no problem. After all, we were working through developing something no one had ever done before and making it professional and easy to use.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Successfully migrated our entire Org from another vendor to a new Org controlled by us without any hiccups or delays. Project started, planning was done, implementation happened without any interruptions to our employees and team. They did what they said they would and now we're continuing to work with them on new projects.

I'm sure there are but I believe they do what they say they're going to do and that's as good as it gets. They would know more about how they can improve their company but from a client's perspective we are very happy with our engagement with SP Tech. Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the technical director at Banjaxed Solutions, a Salesforce service provider. We do app development implementations, integrating pretty much anything into our clients’ organizations.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with SP Tech?

Our main challenge was having the right bandwidth to service our clients. Originally, we needed to ensure that we could deliver 1,000 hours of development work over a two-month period. Specifically, we needed Salesforce Marketing Cloud expertise, which we didn’t have in-house.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Whenever a client needs work that exceeds our internal capabilities, we got o SP Tech to help us out. Initially, they worked on a Salesforce Marketing Cloud project, providing us with a very niche expertise we didn’t have. From there, we started scaling up our partnership. Now, SP Tech is integrated into our business processes, including the way we conduct documentation and do user training.

SP Tech has helped design and implement work for a large client, including website design and debugging. They’ve also trained our team on how to better handle the client and convey professionalism and experience. Basically, they’re an IT consultancy agency, but they also provide consulting services on internal business processes and development projects, and they help us execute those as well.

What is the team composition?

We’ve worked with around 15 teammates from SP Tech, including the CEO, the COO, 2–3 project managers, and around 10 developers. 

How did you come to work with SP Tech?

We found them either on Upwork or the Salesforce App Exchange because they were listed as an agency there. When we were looking for a service provider, we found out that SP Tech was responsible for the Salesforce Marketing Cloud implementation for a large videogame development company.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent around $200,000–$250,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

I started working with SP Tech around February 2022, and our engagement is ongoing. Now, we have a long-standing partnership with them for our clients and our company as a whole.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Our biggest added value of working with SP Tech is that they give us the ability to work for our clients 24/7. They’ve delivered solutions for six-figure projects, helping us get better reviews from our clients. Their efforts have also allowed us to quickly deliver large projects, helping us improve our client relationships.

Thus far, we’ve worked with SP Tech for around 5,000 hours, and they’ve been responsible for generating between $600,000–$700,000 in revenue for us. Moreover, our team is more effective now, thanks to the training and recommendations SP Tech has provided. Although this result is very hard to measure, our employees now produce more value for the company with SP Tech’s help.

How did SP Tech perform from a project management standpoint?

SP Tech is capable of executing high-demand work with very quick turnaround times. For example, if a client needs something to be developed in a week, SP Tech works with our team and helps us deliver under the required timeline. Additionally, they always deliver within budget because they never go outside the scope. They prioritize our budget in the same way we would.

As for project management, SP Tech works within the management system we want to use, whether it is Agile or Scrum, because they’re very knowledgeable of various methodologies. Moreover, they’ve helped us evolve our methodologies over time to meet our business needs.

In addition to that, SP Tech has gone above and beyond in providing training, documentation, and communication, making themselves available whenever we need them. They’re great communicators. We communicate daily, and they provide us with the information we need within 24 hours.

Additionally, we meet once per month with SP Tech’s leadership team, and we have reviews of the team once per week. During those reviews, SP Tech goes through the documentation and provides recommendations.

The CEO and the COO have taken a very hands-on role in serving us. We have personalized meetings with them, the project managers, and the developers. They feel like members of our team, and we feel like we’re worth their time. As for collaboration tools, we use Slack to communicate, as well as ClickUp, Jira, Ayoa, Salesforce, and Wrike for project management.

What did you find most impressive about them?

SP Tech constantly provides recommendations on how to work with our clients, making us better consultants, even when we simply need some development work. Other companies only focus on delivering the tasks they get assigned. However, if SP Tech gets assigned something that our team can’t do, they work with our team to ensure that they can do it in the future so that they can always focus on their most valuable work. Overall, SP Tech is a consulting company that empowers their clients to be better and more knowledgeable consultants themselves.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There’s nothing about SP Tech that I would change. We’ve worked together for a while now, so they’re effectively integrated into our systems.

Have a discovery process, introduce them to your team, and talk to them about how they can help you. They can speak for themselves.
