I’m the senior marketing manager of global operations for an international specialty and central laboratory.

What challenge were you trying to address with Source Group LLC?

We needed a company that could help us increase our exposure for our exhibit at the American Society of Hematology (ASH).

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

The first time we worked together with Source Group LLC was in 2019, wherein they published an interview involving our CEO and chief scientific officers on the first page of Hematology Daily, one of the main publications of ASH, for two days. They also ran our advertisement for five days straight.

In 2020, the annual conference at ASH was canceled due to the pandemic. So, instead of doing what we did the previous year, we decided to reallocate our resources into running two digital advertising campaigns with Source Group LLC over the course of three months.

We’re working with them again right now to launch an email campaign for this year’s conference. Them being an official publisher for ASH meant that they already have access to the attendee list, which is a huge advantage for us. Our plan is to send out an email blast to the attendees before and after the conference to let them know who we are, what we do, and where to find us.

What is the team composition?

My main point of contact is Matt (Digital Marketing Manager), but I also work with Hannah (Accounts Receivable Specialist) and John (Senior Associate Publisher).

How did you come to work with Source Group LLC?

ASH is a massive educational conference for hematologists from across the globe, and it usually attracts over 30,000 attendees each year. Since Source Group LLC is one of the official publishers for Hematology Daily, the main publication of ASH, it made sense for us to work with them to help us increase our exposure.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent $10,000 so far.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in July 2019, and the engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Before we started working with Source Group LLC, we had been spending $30,000–$45,000 on our marketing efforts only to get around 60 qualified leads each year. But when Source Group LLC ran our ads on Hematology Daily for the first time, we saw a 30% increase in our lead volume as well as a significant improvement in the quality of the leads we were getting.

As for the digital advertising campaigns, we ended up getting 395,000 impressions and over 1,000 clicks from all over the world. We also saw a 12% increase in the organic searches for our website for the duration of the campaigns. We got a lot of traction in the bigger life science hubs across states, so we were able to expand our efforts globally.

How did Source Group LLC perform from a project management standpoint?

Source Group LLC has performed well in terms of project management. I’ve never had any issues with them regarding deadlines — If there’s something they can’t deliver on time, they’d tell me right away.

We primarily communicate through email and phone calls.

What did you find most impressive about them?

What I really like about Source Group LLC is that they actually care about us. When Hematology Daily decided not to publish this year, John immediately went on the phone with me to establish what path we should take to reach our target audience without having to wait until next year to publish again. That really meant a lot to me. 

Aside from that, what really stood out to me is the fact that they’re constantly thinking about our strategy and providing insights into digital marketing that might help us do better next year. 

I can tell that they’re really knowledgeable and passionate about what they do because they can teach me about it in a way that I understand. They’ve taken the more complex aspects of mass digital marketing and broken them down into smaller, more manageable pieces for me. They always take the time to explain what’s working and what’s not and how we could help the algorithm to do better for us.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I think their reports could be a little more insightful. They usually just send us Excel sheets, and we have to figure out what the numbers mean or draw our own conclusions with regard to how the campaigns are performing. Other than that, I don’t think there’s anything else they could improve on.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Make sure to clearly communicate your goals with them and ask them all of the things you want to know when you first meet them.

We were using them for advertising in a tradeshow publication, but the tradeshow was cancelled so we switched to an email campaign instead.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We had used them in the past for an ad in a tradeshow publication, so we renewed that prior to switching to an email campaign due to the tradeshow being cancelled.

We switched from an advertisement in a tradeshow publication to an email campaign. We designed an email and sent the content to our contact and they pulled together a draft for sending to their distribution list.

We worked with a Content Coordinator and Digital Marketing Manager.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

They were helpful in providing alternative options due to the cancellation of the tradeshow we initially were going to do advertising with. We were able to design and send an email to over 9000 contacts.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Given the situation and timing - the team was very helpful and communicative throughout the project.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They were ready to help us figure out an alternative when the initial plan changed due to the tradeshow cancellation.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Given the timing (COVID), they were very helpful and responsive.

I’m a regional finance manager for a company that does residential construction. I handle the marketing for our company nationwide.

We needed a complete redesign on our website. We needed better security and a more appealing look. We also needed someone who would help maintain it and our social media.

We spoke with multiple companies about what they could do and their vision. We chose Source Group because they could give us exactly what we wanted at a fair price.

The first thing they did was completely redesign our website. Fixed all the bugs and updated it visually. They update our blog and social media. They have done all this and worked on our SEO and have increased visits to our website and therefore, our business.

We have worked with one person the entire time. He is fantastic.

We have had sales that are a direct result of Source Group’s efforts.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Our contact is available to us whenever I need. He is great at contacting us at least once a week to update as needed. Even better, he is available when we have a question.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Our contact, Matt, is the reason we like working with this company so much. The team is great at giving us ideas and also listening to our feedback. He is incredibly responsive.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Any complaint we have had has been fixed immediately.

Please describe your company and your position there.

I.m the executive director of the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame & Museum in Knoxville, Iowa. We are a 501 c 3 non-profit museum, and the only museum in the world that is solely dedicated to sprint car racing. Our major fundraiser is our CorvetteC8RContest.com sweepstakes which Source Group is helping us with.

For what projects/services did your company hire Source Group LLC, and what were your goals?

Our CorvetteC8RContest.com is a Corvette sweepstakes and we are working with Source Group to help us get the word out to people who would like to support the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame & Museum at the same time as having a chance to win a new 2022 IMSA GTLM Championship Edition c8.R Corvette. This is a major fundraiser to help keep our museum in operation, and Source Group is helping us reach new donors through digitized email advertising and blasts.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We came into contact with SDource Group through our affiliation with PRI, the Performance Racing Industry trade show in Indianapolis each year. After working with Source Group for a year, we discovered that there were other areas that Source group could help us with in our fundraising efforts.

We are utilizing email blasts, digital advertising, and the PRI trade show magazine to reach automotive enthusiasts who would like to help support our museum through our CorvetteC8RContest.com Corvette sweepstakes. Source Group is helping us reach out to these automotive enthusiasts in a big way through the end of this fundraiser in August on 2022.

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

We have worked primarily with three people at Source GRoup just to keep things simple and streamlined. Primarily Max and Ashley have been helping us with the promotion the last few weeks with development and placement.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We are just getting started with this campaign. So it is really too early to determine our returns and measurables at this point. But we are optimistic that our efforts will be rewarded.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

To date we have had great success working with everyone at Source Group. They have been very organized and kept us on track as we approach each of our deadlines. This was the same with the project we worked on with them last year as well.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I think the fact that Source Group was willing to help a non-profit museum with an online campaign to raise funding and awareness for our museum has been the most unique aspect of this campaign we are working on. They understand what we are trying to accomplish from the beginning.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I think that the path that both our museum and Source Group are on right now has been the path that is working best for us. It's still early in this campaign that we are preparing to launch in a few weeks, but we are both optimistic that we can help each others companies financially moving forward.
