Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.

Hamza was the team lead we worked with and it was an absolute pleasure. He helped to lead Royal Carribean`s shift from Oracle to Databricks and was instrumental in that process. The team has a really strong background in analytics, APIs, ETL, and cloud configuration. I strongly reccomend Hamza and his team. 

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We were able to successfully shift 1mil of annual Oracle spend to Databricks w his guidance. We came to the table w strong backgrounds in SQL but lacked some of the skills upfront that were required for a smooth transition from a more traditional approach to the cloud. Hamza and his team`s guidance and assistance are what allowed us to be so successful in the shift to the cloud. I truly recommend Hamza and wish he was someone I could hire as a full time employee, you will struggle to find anyone else at his level.

Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?

Hamza lead the team we were working with and did a great job of providing us with reasonable expectations and managing the team on his end. His English is flawless and he is truly a strong program manager, and an even better developer. The combination of program management and such strong technical capabilities is a rarity and he is gem.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The single strongest part of SoftwareOrbits was the team lead we were assigned, there are lots of strong engineers out there, but he is on another level than most. Hamza was also a really strong program manager and did a really good job of eliminating the one weak developer they had on for a short time, he would quickly step in and was quick to eliminate the weak developer they had. He provided a really amazing combination of technical capabilities and management. 

Are there any areas for improvement or something SoftwareOrbits could have done differently?

I would be rude and crazy to complain, SoftwareOrbits truly saved us. We were in over our heads, we had strong backgrounds in things like SQL, but when tasked with the shift to Databricks, it would have been a total mess had it not been for SoftwareOrbits. Hamza in particular is one of the best engineers ive come across.
