They were also tasked with optimising site speed. In addition, they perform a number of ongoing tasks, including optimising our server, developing custom modules and installing third-party ones to add new features, and improving overall site functionality. They also work through any bugs that come up and perform updates and site maintenance.

I created some graphic designs and concept designs for SoftLoft their team to explain to them what I needed. After a couple of iterations, they came up with the mockups that suited my needs. Then, SoftLoft set up a CMS using Wordpress and customized a responsive theme for my design. Their team also tuned the site for my needs, which included SEO, social media, CRM, and an e-commerce integration. We're currently planning to launch the website and then, enhancing it with the features step by step.

While I am already present in social media networks like Facebook and Instagram, it's essential for me to have my own website to post my best works, share my experience, and promote my services. SoftLoft developed an excellent tool for me thus far. They programmed it as exactly as I needed to start blogging and be more present online.

Their project management is excellent, We agreed a well-thought-out plan so that I could start uploading content in 6 weeks. The great thing was, they allowed me to upload earlier on a test account. Then, they transferred all the photos to the main website.

SoftLoft guys know how to do their job. Their ask me many questions and are flexible with my requests. We discuss plans that are more suitable for me as a mother of two). They understand my needs, and I can rely on their web experience. I hear many horror stories about terrible IT companies, but their team's attitude is upbeat and positive. What challenge were you trying to address with Soft Loft Ukraine?

We wanted stable developers to help us transition from an old e–commerce platform to Magento.

What was the scope of their involvement?

They developed the code for our website from scratch. After importing an Excel spreadsheet of our products, they made sure it was search-engine and mobile friendly, launched the website, and made any necessary adjustments. They added new products, new pages, and changed our home page by adding custom functionality to the backend. There was a lot of custom work. For example, there was a process that identified where a customer was from, charged in the correct currency, and then worked with the appropriate processing companies.

What is the team composition?

There was one PM and three developers. Each developer had a different responsibility: frontend, backend, or additional support. We spoke with the PM on almost a daily basis, and only needed to communicate directly with the developers over slight back- or frontend changes.

How did you come to work with Soft Loft Ukraine?

I knew that since Magento started in the Ukraine, I wanted Ukraine and Magento specific developers. Out of the handful that I reached out to, Soft Loft was the quickest to respond, and the most professional. I sent them an email, and we were on a Skype call within 30 minutes.

We definitely saw our sales increase. It’s difficult to find good developers for Magento, and the website they built code for is functional.

I think project management is their strongest suit. The PM really cared. He understood our business, and got personally involved when things didn’t work. The first project management tool we used was Basecamp, and then we moved to Asana.

They're stable. We worked with set developers, and saw the quality of their work. They had a strong PM, knowledgeable developers, and a good price value. They were easy to work with, and always available.

I always strive for perfection, and because of that I would say frontend work. They could also be more willing to add developers to a project. I understand why they didn’t, especially with how delicate Magento can be, but that’s another thing they could change.
