BACKGROUND

Please describe your company and your position there.

I'm the owner of an electronic gadgets store, we have recently launched an online service called "online phone Repair" which is a complete POS system with a connection to the e-commerce website. Any person can get the estimated cost to repair the phone as well.

For what projects/services did your company hire Softaims, and what were your goals?

Well, we had just an idea of doing something innovative to take our business a step ahead. We wanted a complete POS system linked to an e-commerce platform. The goals were to take our services online wholly, where any customer can get a quote and get his phone fixed online.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

Our team searched online and contacted different web development teams but none of them seem to own the project, usually, the software development teams would want to directly jump into the development without understanding my business needs. This is where the Softaims took the lead. Their consulting and business-oriented approach was impressive. They are willing to solve real business problems. They completely understood my business requirement and suggested to me what technologies I could use and what business measures I can take. This is where we decided to work together.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

We started off with a detailed meeting, where all my requirements were noted down. They grouped the goals and objectives into chunks and milestones. Afterward, mockups and wireframes of the site were delivered. A few little tweaks later the finalized model was completed they then completed the website, I was aware of each step through their Trello, and I could see the whole progress and their development process.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

The project manager was in direct contact with us, they even made a discord channel and added their team of 3 full-stack developers and a front-end designer there and we could contact them anytime regarding any confusion.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

One thing that I am sure about is, any customer that came to my site or used our services was really happy about the services and was totally satisfied with the overall user experience. The Design is very simple yet so unique and developed with keeping the user experience under consideration.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

Most of the time their project manager used to send a detailed report on discord on the progress of each day, and some of the times we used to have a standup where the project manager would tell me the week's progress and the next milestone. Discord and Trello were the main sources of communication and progress-tracking.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The most impressive thing about Softaims was the way they first completely understand the needs of the business. The team took pride in their work; they took it seriously and were highly motivated.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Everything was just on point, only once they could not meet the deadline of the weekly task but they informed us well before so they managed our next task accordingly.
