I'm de CEO of a fintech specialized in online reverse factoring.

For what projects/services did your company hire SODEP SA?

We hired SODEP to help us to lay down the specifics requirements needed to develop the factoring platform.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I was looking for local vendors that had previous experience in banking. I ultimately chose SODEP thanks to the good recommendations about the firm.

Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.

For this project we focused on 7 main components:

1. Roles - which are the main roles that will be interacting with the software
2. Users - who will be the users and how will the differentiate from one another
3. User Stories - what key features will each of the users require for the software to work as planned. These user stories were laid down in table form and in diagram form
4. Key Processes - we identified the key processes in our business. Ej the stages each operation goes through, the onboarding process of our clients
5. Wireframes - they designed wireframes that help to define the functions required on each screen of the software
6. Prototype - A prototype of how the software will likely look one it is properly built (This was useful to show to future clients and to gather feedback).
7. Propose Architecture - In general and high-level terms they suggested what the best architecture would look like for this software

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

Two people worked with us. From the start we we're assigned a Senior Analyst that acted as a Project Leader. On later stages we worked with a junior developer for the wireframes and prototype.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

With this final document we were in much better shape to descripe in technical terms what we are trying to build. This document helped us to easily get quotes from other software developers.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The workflow was good, we had 1 or 2 weekly meeting, most were virtual while others were physical, since we are both based in the same city.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I appreciated the time they took to understand our business model, since it is not intuitive and it is not a common business model. The effort they took allowed us to put the whole business model under a microscope and solidified our business model.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Overall the work the work was great at a great price. If anything I would have preferd a bit more of comunication between our teams so that we could have a better sense of the timeline and the expected date of completion.
