Smith Mandel & Associates helps us with anything tax-related, including US and property taxes. In 2013, they did a major audit.

Barbara (Bookkeeper) is my main point of contact.

Smith Mandel & Associates had been helping our company even before I started working in the hotel.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent around $200,000–$1 million.

What is the status of this engagement?

I don’t know when this partnership began as they were already here when I started working with the company in September 2009. We’ve worked with Smith Mandel & Associates on an ongoing basis.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The audit they performed was able to get our company back around $30,000. We’re very satisfied with their services.

How did Smith Mandel & Associates LLP perform from a project management standpoint?

I provide reports to Smith Mandel & Associates, and they ask me what they need to process. They’re excellent at meeting deadlines.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The Smith Mandel & Associates team is very proactive. We don’t have to tell them what to do because they know what their job is.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I can’t think of anything Smith Mandel & Associates could improve.

Any advice for potential customers?

It’s hard to answer this question because of the type of business Smith Mandel & Associates is. The things that work for me may not be the same for other people.
