Smart Dato builds custom e-commerce and business software for mid-sized manufacturers, retailers and brands in Italy and the DACH region. Founded in 2015 in South Tyrol, the team of 15 delivers Shopware and Shopify shops — B2B and B2C — and connects them to the systems a business already runs on: ERP, PIM, logistics and warehouse platforms.
Typical work: a Shopware B2C shop for the South Tyrolean fashion brand Luis Trenker with Shop-the-Look and integrated product-data maintenance; a Shopify migration for a sheet-music publisher moving off Wix; custom software for a swimming-pool manufacturer integrated with OMBIS ERP; native iOS and Android apps for retail and tourism clients.
Beyond commerce, Smart Dato develops custom applications, mobile apps, 3D product configurators, computer-vision systems with real-time analytics, and process-automation solutions that remove manual steps between disconnected systems. The team works in German, Italian and English and advises on provincial grants for digital investment in South Tyrol.
