What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Singular Agency's prototype incorporated all the features we discussed in our design thinking brainstorming session and exceeded our expectations. The team delivered more features than we expected, which was amazing. When I signed up for the design thinking workshop, I thought it would be difficult to explain what I wanted. However, Singular Agency's team understood what I was trying to build. They were responsive and did a tremendous job putting all the ideas together to provide an excellent prototype.

Singular Agency is building an Airtable base company-wide that each department will use as the main function of their responsibilities. The information is pulled from all sources to create a central hub to help us make sales, financial decisions, and vision casting. The departments involved in this process are accounts payable/accounts receivable (AP/AR), operations, field, marketing, human resources (HR), admin, and finance.

We have weekly progress meetings and regular communication over Slack. I'm also given updates of my app on TestFlight

Overall, the project management has been good. The responsiveness has been good and their ability to come up solutions to problems that come up is top notch. The team's ability to understand my vision and to execute on it has been a big help. The team's ability and availability to answer questions is also appreciated. Unfortunately, the project was not completed when I was told it would be. That delivery date for the completion of the project was pushed back several months and required many more story points than predicted previously. Despite this setback, they devised a method by which I could beta test the app a few months prior to the apps completion by bypassing the uploading to the App Stores. The team has also been accommodating with my own setbacks I've experienced throuoit the process, which was appreciated.

Always on time. Singular's use of agile methodology allows you to see exactly what is being developed each sprint and what can be expected. Blockers are communicated quickly and are discussed until a solution is reached. Ou PM, Michelle is super responsive and proactive. She keeps the team agile and pulls new resources in as needed.

The Collective Client Platform will offer a technology-driven solution to allow our members to better track outcomes and milestones through their membership journeys. Increased transparency of the value of membership will hopefully lead to membership retention and increased membership growth through referrals.

Our strategy was to get our MVP up in the quickest and efficient way so we remain agile and responsive. In addition, the backend development will improve internal efficency and allow for company scalability at ease. Singular offered a low code/no code solution at a near shore location making it our optimal choice when choosing our partner. 

Are there any areas for improvement or something Singular Agency could have done differently?

The Airtable interface wasn't as user-friendly as we had hoped, and we found the data setup versus how we can internally use it confuing. It would be helpful to have had that conversation earlier before the set up started, so we would have more adjust expectations of how we could use the backend.

We partnered with Singular to take a prototype we developed internally and refine to provide outstanding UI/UX improvements for developing a Flutter based mobile app to release for iOS and Android. The Singular team has done an outstanding job helping define app architecture, feature priorities and refinement to meet our goals, timeline, and budget of first having an MVP beta experience that evolves to a scalable App Store release.

App framework/architecture and best practices defined successfully. Features defined through sprint planning and stand up sessions to delivery consistent progress and new features in 1-2 sprint cycles based on initial concept through to refinement. Awareness of beta participant goals and onboarding to release and gather feedback to further improve.

Singular Agency listens and provides expert guidance to help prioritize development goals that keep our project on time and on budget. The project management team has an excellent awareness of developer capabilities to optimize sprint planning, and is amazing at communicating clearly and quickly to stick to a timeline while remaining flexible to pivot if and when necessary!

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I have worked with many development teams and the people and approach from Singular is one of best development relationships I have experienced. What can take months to get a team in sync only took weeks for the Singular team to understand our prototype concept to then begin working quickly to delivery amazing results in only 2-3 sprints, with continued momentum and excellence thereafter. The team communicates effectively, is extremely well organized, and is just an all around pleasure to work with!

Becoming a subject matter expert quickly is difficult for anyone starting a new project. The Singular workshops help their team grasp the details of a project quickly, some aspects could use more time refining features details and grooming before a sprint starts, however that burden falls mostly on the client in our scenario to provide clarity and education where development is unique to our project and specific industry.

The designs are completed quickly and of great quality. The application is currently in alpha testing. Hardware component is functional

Our PM Gerado is great to work with. We had quite a few scope changes mid project that set back the timeline but they are doing well accommodating them.

They originally won our business through their thorough planning and scoping process. Also it feels like just the right level of involvement as a client.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Singular Agency could have done differently?

There's great transparency of whats going on and the cost through their platform singular stories, however it can be challenging to see the cost of adding new features going forward. We had one feature I didn't realize wasn't in the initial scope (totally on me) and it wasn't made clear what a massive scope change and effect on the price this addition would have. 

So maybe a formalized process around major scope changes and associated costs would be nice. That being said I still feel they are providing great value for the work.

One of the developers we hired to programm our software desappeared and the other one did not have the capabilities for maintaining all together. We hired Singular to help us take control of the software, document everything correctly and do whatever change we needed for the software to work right. Singular designed and prepared everyghing in Google Cloud Plattform to deploy there our software.

They managed to get to get to know the code know the code (developed by someone else), get control of the code, they transfered everything to Github (they orgnized all the pull and merge requests for new branches of code), they arranged all the code the right way, they made the code work right and then designed and prepared everyghing in Google Cloud Plattform to deploy the software. We had a project for testing and a production project.

They also helped us document all the software using Swagger and showed us how to use it for doing testing without using Postman. Finally they handed the software to other developers who are taking care now of the maintenance of the software now that everything is working right and well documented.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The software has been working fine for a few months now and were able to hand the software to the other developers very transparently and organized.

They always deliver on time. I was the one slowing things down not approving stories or forgetting or not being able to participate in the scheduled standups. They were always up for whatever changes or requests we had.

They were such a professional and organized team. I liked the agile methodology used and how easy it was to follow up.
