I'm the owner of My Mobile Pantry LLC, a grocery sales and delivery company. We deliver groceries to homes in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.

What challenge were you trying to address with Silk Road Professionals?

We needed to modify our BigCommerce site to handle orders for groceries and direct delivery from our store to our customers' homes.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Silk Road Professionals implemented the following features on our website:

• Customers can select a day and time for their order delivery.
• There’s a minimum-order per customer.
• Free shipping if the order exceeds a certain amount.
• Substitute products selection feature.

Silk Road Professionals has been an excellent partner for several projects over the last 10 years. The team provides deep technical expertise and business understanding. They’re personable and great at communicating throughout the process. I’ve developed a deep trust relationship with the team.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from May to July 2025.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Silk Road Professionals completed a list of feature requests. The website and custom features will open up new business opportunities for My Mobile Pantry.

How did Silk Road Professionals perform from a project management standpoint?

Silk Road Professionals' project management was great. We communicated via Microsoft Teams meetings three times a week.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Silk Road Professionals' real-time collaboration and flexibility in solving problems were impressive. The team was creative at problem-solving and finding good solutions. They actively participated in the entire process, even pushing back on some of the solutions I had and proposing better ones.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I can't think of anything for Silk Road Professionals to improve.

We have a large business software (ERP) and platform. Our old software was completely rewritten with modern technology and a they created a cloud solution. They created a framework and platform that other 3rd party developers can customize. 
They created the following business features in the software: Financial management, inventory management, purchasing and sales functionality, and labor management. They continue to develop more features to build out a full ERP system and platform.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Projects were completed and sent to the customer with minimal amount of defects. The customer feedback has been positive.

They use the SCRUM method of managing projects. They keep us posted on the progress and finish the work that is planned in the beginning of the sprints. I have daily meetings with them. Overall the communication is very collaborative. They do well with communication.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They do well with hiring talented people. They have an emphasis on learning. From their learning program, they pick good hires.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Silk Road Professionals could have done differently?

Senior developers are more difficult to retain. Our domain is large and requires a lot of education, therefore senior developers are high value.

Customers are able to make card payments directly on the website due to successful integration between the payment processor and the OFD.
