Project development included taking a data back approach to defining custom customizable data collection, reporting , and analytics. Primary deliverables were 2 user facing UI applications backed by GraphQL server, Firebase: Cloud Functions, and devops management.

The primary outcome was moving all existing customer from the platform prototype build into a new application UI and backend and shifting all service to these new applications.

Technical projects often have multiple stressors for time management. Coupled with scope creep and/or missing implementation documentation, a number of features stretched beyond identified timelines. Response has always been flexible and accommodating based on shiftign priorities.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I appreciate the work done to keep the entire team involved so that broad institutional knowledge can be spread out rather than concentrated in key perssonnel. While the outcome is not always fully informed team members, there is a genuine effort to increate understanding of the business sector in relation to development efforts. Team members often raise important issues, provide options in resolution, and manage the bulk of work with our team in a second language.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Siftia could have done differently?

Being brought into the project at a later date, I inheritied 2 years worth of efforts to rebuild a prototype I authored. So coming with a vast knowledge and a working example of key concepts, I felt that documentation of implementation and service management could have been stronger "along the way". It has been difficult to capture those details post-release.

Given the scope of application integrations, I also feel that an effort should have been made to ensure the stability of application interactions. A testing framework needed to be in place much earlier.

The major challenge in this project was to design and build an application with sufficient functionality to provide a proof of concept, stripping away functions unrelaited to what was novel in the project.

Key deliverables included conceptual and architectural documentation and working software with sftp import, UI, screen display, and excel reports. Key to the project was transforming conceptual logic into working code.
