I'm the owner of Honeyhole, the first backyard fly casting game.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with ShipShop?

We needed help building the foundation of our e-commerce site to optimize our initial launch and have the right structure in place to allow for planned future enhancements. We also needed to ensure our UX worked efficiently across devices and that our pages were structured properly with a friction-free checkout flow.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

ShipShop conducted an SEO audit and created an action plan. They also made performance fixes and strategic enhancements. The team worked on technical SEO, fixing broken links and duplicates, cleaning up content structure, and optimizing pages for keywords and content. They also set up a sitemap and schema, worked on design, and made key page touch-ups. ShipShop created a content strategy, connected ads and analytics, and optimized images. The team also squashed bugs and made Shopify tweaks.

How did you come to work with ShipShop?

ShipShop was referred to me. I chose them because their pricing fit our budget, their work that I had seen had impressed me, and I was told they work very efficiently around deadlines. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together in November 2025.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We finished the project right before Black Friday, which ended up being our highest sales period since our launch. Our conversion rate went up, our bounce rate went down, and we were able to track highly valuable analytics that we've used to continue our growth plan since that time. We also saw site speed improvements across all devices. We received positive feedback from users, but our increased conversion and decreased bounce rates on key pages were the best indicators of success.

How did ShipShop perform from a project management standpoint?

ShipShop delivered on time, communicated clearly and efficiently throughout the process, and worked collaboratively with me and the team to ensure our feedback and input were incorporated at each checkpoint. We communicated via virtual meetings, emails, and messaging apps.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I was impressed by their efficiency, professionalism, and the polished end result. What stood out the most was Mark's interest in our business and goals during the initial call, which gave me the confidence to move forward.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I can't think of anything for ShipShop to improve. They gave us exactly what we were looking for within the timeline we needed and at a fair price.
