A compact, low-power IoT device designed to monitor temperature-sensitive goods during transport and storage. Ideal for pharmaceuticals, food, and biological samples, ensures cold chain compliance through real-time temperature, humidity, and location tracking. It alerts users instantly when temperature excursions occur and logs data for audit and reporting purposes.

The device features a high-accuracy temperature sensor, humidity sensor, GPS, and a low-power communication module (LTE-M/NB-IoT or LoRaWAN). It also includes Bluetooth for local configuration and a buzzer/LED for on-site alerts. With IP67-rated housing and 60+ days of battery life, SCCG is designed for rugged, uninterrupted use in harsh environments.

Data is transmitted to a secure cloud platform, which provides a real-time dashboard for logistics managers, including map views, graphs, and historical reports. The system also supports SMS/email alerts, PDF/CSV compliance logs, and APIs for integration with third-party ERP or fleet systems.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The project delivered strong, measurable outcomes that showed real progress and success. In field trials, the device reduced cold chain temperature breaches by over 70%, helping companies prevent spoilage and maintain compliance. Battery life exceeded 60 days on a single charge, and the system achieved over 99% data transmission reliability in both urban and rural environments. GPS tracking provided 100% traceability for every shipment, and real-time alerts reached users in under a minute, allowing for faster response times. Users also reported saving up to four hours per shipment on compliance reporting, thanks to automated PDF logs and dashboard insights. Perhaps most importantly, early customers said the device gave them greater confidence in their cold chain process, leading to better decisions and fewer costly mistakes.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The thing that impressed me most about Sheridan Technologies was the ability to deliver technical expertise with urgency, but still not compromise quality. They were true problem solvers and delivered solutions that were high impact. From the start, they just jumped in with this sense of intentionality and speed that was really rare. They delivered a lot of value. It was really refreshing that it wasn't just great engineering, we actually felt like we were working with a partner who really seemed to care about what we were doing. When we working with them, it was like having a team of elite engineers on our side who helped us with even our most ambitious projects. :)

I just wish we knew about them sooner! I would definitely go to them next time.
