We needed a brand new website for a project and was a top to bottom new website with hosting

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

Seen some online reviews and have worked with them on previous projects before

They were to design the website and then after approval then to start developing the WordPress website with Gutenberg blocks.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

Two main people, one was an oversee Manager type person, the other was a project developer I think.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

They handed me a broken website and were unable to fix the issues with the website. Their solution was to contact hosting whenever changes were made to the site. I had to hire another developer to come in and find and fix all the problems with the website. It has cost me so much time and money and most of all my reputation with my client. They installed an outrageous amount of plugins that many did all the same things which in all ended up causing many issues.

We had to remove half the plugins and redo the site in order to fix all the issues they were not able to fix. They had so many spelling mistakes in the copy, URLs, and told me work was done when it was not. Had to tell them multiple times to do certain tasks.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

The communication was terrible. It adds weeks to your project. I would send in a request, which would take a few days to get a reply of not able to complete that request. I would then have to send another request and wait another few days in order to see if that request could be done.

This easily added many weeks on top of the schedule. Rather than coming back and saying, "we can't do X but we can however do Y, is that okay?" I'd make lists of items to complete and they would still miss items and tell me it is all done.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

That they are actually still able to be in business when they can happily hand over a broken website.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I have mentioned to them many times before about their communication, lack of quality control and they have never improved or showed that they listened to your complaint. They would do the same things over and over again.
