SEO Egypt failed to assign a proper Project Manager and delayed the project start for 18 months (From March 2022 to November 2023). Then, when they showed up (they had already received their planned installments, 87.5% of their financial dues). They restarted in November 2023 and started working on UI/UX on Figma. Sorrowfully, our deposits valued at 5000 USD were devaluated because of EGP inflation. 

The value after 18 months was reduced to 2000 USD. They asked for more money after they finished 50% of the UI/UX design (not even started front- and backend development). And claimed that the financials are consumed. Details: 

• Scope of Work (SOW): The initially agreed-upon SOW, attached for your reference, clearly outlined the establishment of the website with all necessary features. 
• Payment History: All payments were made punctually, totaling 70K EGP, despite not receiving any output from their end, with a total project value of 80K EGP. 
• Unsatisfactory Work and Delays: After almost one and a half years, we have received unsatisfactory work multiple times, coupled with some delays in our responses, and the latest submission is a Figma file with only half of the work completed.
• Communication with Mohamed/Ahmed: Following a recent discussion with Mohamed, he is conveying that their efforts are fair, even stating that the project is a loss for them. 
• Financial Assessment: Considering the EGP devaluation and the shared responsibility for delays, our calculations reveal a significant discrepancy. This can explained as follows: 
  • Total Project Value = 80K EGP @ USD = 20 EGP 
  • New Project Value = 140K EGP @ USD = 35 EGP 
  • ~ Average of 20 EGP & 50 EGP (current rate) 
  • Work Delivered = 15% ~ half of 30% (taking into account that full UX/UI design normally contributes to 30% maximum of any project value) = 15%*140K EGP = 21K EGP
  • Consequently, there is a shortfall of at least 50K EGP based on the agreed-upon SOW.
