I'm the product manager of Travitor, a learning management system (LMS) that optimizes corporate training.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What specific goals or objectives did you hire SCR to accomplish for Travitor's corporate training platform?

We hired SCR for the design and maintenance of a reinvented version of the Travitor application. The goal was to redesign a legacy version of the application that was outdated. The new app needed to be visually appealing and enjoyable to use. It also needed to meet the ever-changing needs of corporate trainers, including robust reporting, use of modern multimedia, and platform versatility.

What was the scope of their involvement?

SCR has been instrumental in the construction of the UI, backend architecture, and ongoing maintenance and support of the system.

What is the team composition?

We work with 6–10 teammates from SCR.

How did you come to work with SCR?

We found them through a referral. We chose them over other options because they had high ratings, a great culture fit, and aligned company values.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in June 2016, and the engagement is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

SCR has helped us increase our monthly active user rate by over 50% compared to our legacy platform. We've also maintained a 75%+ customer retention rate since the relationship began. In addition, uptime has been upwards of 99% since the relationship with SCR began.

Moreover, we've received positive feedback from end users. One user said, "Travitor is easy to use and has been set up so well that there is a very short learning curve for the administrator. Definitely 5-star service." Another user said, "It was super easy to get up and running, support is fantastic, and with each update it gets better and better. A great value!"

How did SCR perform from a project management standpoint?

SCR is a very well-organized and detail-oriented outfit. They are very helpful in receiving our ideas, helping us set realistic expectations, and delivering on what we're able to conceive. Everything is systematized with task lists and management software like Jira. We stay in close contact to ensure that benchmarks are set and met and that all stakeholders are involved. Our primary forms of communication are virtual meetings, emails, and messaging apps.

What did you find most impressive about them?

At this point in the relationship, SCR is a member of the Travitor team. We don't consider them to be a separate entity, and this is a major strength of theirs. They integrate themselves well with the organizations they work with and shoulder a lot of the risk when it comes to the products and services they design. They're very high-touch and are always a Slack call or email away. I never need to wait for a future meeting to discuss anything, and this is what impresses me so much about SCR.
