We needed help creating our e-commerce site that could also help us integrate our online and physical store sales.

What was the scope of their involvement?
Satyanam Info Solution Pvt. Ltd. is helping me develop an integrated e-commerce solution for my business. I wrote down the specifications for what we required, and they came up with a solution using .NET and SQL as the main technologies.
Regarding features, we've done extensive development on the admin side, which integrates with the shop. It's a POS system, and the orders coming through the shop are combined into one platform. They've also integrated the payment gateway with the freight carriers and made a user-friendly search system to allow users to easily look for what they want without going through our thousands of products.
What is the team composition?
I usually work with 1–2 members of their team, but they have their development staff working under them.

I found them through a freelancer platform. I saw their good reviews, so I invited them to make a proposal to us for my project.

Overall, the platform they created for us has helped us tremendously because it is another sales channel apart from our two shops, which complements my business. In addition, we now have a proper customer and order management system.

What challenge were you trying to address with Satyanam Info Solution Pvt. Ltd.?
We were trying to rebrand.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
Satyanam Info Solution has completed the first phase of the project. The initial phase was spinning out the nopCommerce platform. Then, they connected it to a data center to use API connections and did custom programming for different coupons, reports, and more.
We initially scoped out what we needed. Then, we designed all the deliverables through Adobe XD so we could wireframe it, prototype it, and send them the prototypes. We gave them those deliverable assets to program into the e-commerce skin, and they spun up the e-commerce site and got it all configured.
Additionally, they’ve done custom work for us. We were building our affiliate program. Satyanam Info Solution went in there and built a complete tracking system for customer affiliate links in nopCommerce. With those links, we can track what customers do — if they place an order or create an account, it hooks back into our analytics so we can trigger different flows and drip campaigns.
We’re currently working in the second phase, which is additional API work. They’re connecting some third-party apps, such as ShipStation and Klaviyo. Also, they’re reskinning the entire e-commerce site and building out a custom reward and redemption program.
What is the team composition?
I don’t know how many people are part of the company, but I’ve worked with Vipul (Co-Founder & Managing Director) as the lead project manager and another team member.
How did you come to work with Satyanam Info Solution Pvt. Ltd.?
I worked with Umesh (Managing Director) on a previous project. Another person contracted him to do some work for us. They did a great job, but we ended up not having a good relationship with the person that hired them. In the end, we got rid of them and started working directly with Satyanam Info Solution.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent $10,000 so far.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in October 2020, and they waited for us for about six months. We started phase one in August 2021 and finished it in November 2021. They’ve been working in phase two from December 2021 until now.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The site isn’t launched yet, but they’ve done an excellent job and are working efficiently. The team has been able to hook up several apps that will allow us to have better analytical data on our site — it’s built out more to be data-driven and behavioral-driven on individual people rather than group data, such as Google Analytics. Therefore, we’ve worked with those tools really well.
How did Satyanam Info Solution Pvt. Ltd. perform from a project management standpoint?
They’re in India, so it’s usually early morning or late at night when we communicate. Nonetheless, project management has been fantastic. They’ve been great with the budget and pricing. We’ve had some issues with scheduling because it has taken longer than we’d anticipated. However, we also increased the project's scope, so it has something to do with it.
They use SharePoint on Azure to track different tasks and their completion, and we communicate through Skype.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Their price is excellent, and they provide the best service we’ve had at that price point. Also, they’re very responsive. They even reply during holidays, so communication is great.
Moreover, we didn’t give them a lot of detail on the additional scope. They took very little and designed it well, so they did an excellent job on that component.
Are there any areas they could improve?
They’re good at communicating, but they could do a better job at communicating deadlines, timeframes, and delays. We’ve had to reach out and ask for updates.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Make sure you know what you want. If possible, get a wireframe or prototype so they can see what you want to accomplish. If you can show them that, they’ll be great at providing solutions, programming, and executing. In summary, come prepared.
