Introduce your business and what you do there.

I was the general manager of a multi-faceted entertainment company half being residential, and half is a music facility. We do a lot of music-adjacent services.

We needed more financial management as we continued to strengthen our new and existing business.

It was before my time, but I believe in the past we used a one-person company. When we grew, we moved to Ryan-Boer Solutions since they have more personnel to fill our needs.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’re an essentially complicated business, and they always provide a realistic sounding board for us and helped to push us in the right direction. It doesn’t sound like much, but with our specific situation, it was quite an accomplishment.

On the product side, we have a lot of money flowing in and out of different places because we have so many subcategories. They made all of that simple for us, ultimately.

Our primary contact is very communicative, particularly with our owner. One of the things I like is that they reach out to members of our team when they need something. There’s a nice division of labor going on, essentially.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They keep our eccentric owner on the ball as well as anyone could hope to.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Since we have so many moving parts, sometimes things get a little jumbled. That’s in part because our organization is so multi-faceted, though.

My advice is to be communicative and upfront with what you need.
