Project involved updating our existing Drupal website to the WordPress platform which involved redesigning and building a new website around our current and future needs.

Deliverables included:

Building a clean site that was easy to navigate; a main menu with sub menues; product pages with multiple images, information and downloadable data sheets; product pages with recommended accessories; contact forms for spare parts, services and general enquiries; resources section for industry information; blog and articles section; multi language support, region specific landing pages and hreflang support, localised SEO, product finder on homepage; on page optimisation; lead contact and requeest a quote forms with Salesforce integration, link to distributor hub; basket based enquiry system; clear messaging around bespoke quotations; ecouraging account creation; abandoned basket followup; newsletter subscription feature, AI search optimisation and GEO monitoring; ability for staff to update the website; visitor reporting; ongoing hosting, ongoing software updates; set up for future website features to be developed

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Met all project outcomes within timeframe; staff can easily update and add website content enabling the website to always be current.  Its too early to define increase in trafficbut we are confident there will be a huge improvement from our old website.

Excellent project management. Always responsive to our questions no matter how simple they were!  Made us feel confident in running our website going forward and provided great advice when we were unsure on design or technical aspects of the website build.

Greater Manchester Youth Federation are a registered charity, we work with voluntary youth groups and projects in Greater Manchester, and provide training and support for our member clubs. We aim to provide as many opportunities as possible for young people to grow and aspire to be the best that they can be, helping them to move beyond their boundaries.

For what projects/services did your company hire Rubber Duckiee, and what were your goals?

We hired Rubber Duckiee for rebranding our Charity and for Website Design. The Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Manchester (as it was known) has been in existence for over 100 years and a balance needed to be struck between updating the name so as to be fit for purpose for the next 100 years and retaining its historical ties. The charity’s Chairman for instance is third generation BGCGM, so while the name needs modernising it However, the should not necessarily be a full break with the past

They considered our criteria and put together a branding presentation. From their we were back and forth with suggestions from the Board of Trustees until the new logo was born.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We have a much more identifiable brand now, instantly recognisable of social media etc.

Responses were always prompt. Discussions and instruction mainly took place via email. They were very patient. From our end we had many 'Chiefs' and Kat worked hard to keep everyone happy. They were very diplomatic!

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their patience.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Had it not been during the covid, an face to face team meeting and briefing with our board and the team at Rubber Duckie may have meant our overall aim and vision would have been understood and interpreted quicker. I think we all became a bit weary of it all towards the end.

I'm a Co-Founder of a promotional merchandise distributor, dedicated to offering consciously created items to help businesses to build their brand sustainably.

Our website had been built using a drag and drop editor, which while delivering visually pleasing results, was inflexible and bloated with unnecessary code, making it very slow to load. We hired Rubber Duckiee to help rectify these issues, and to increase the stability and security of our website moving forward.

After discussing the project with a number of agencies, we felt that RD best understood our needs and were the best fit on a personal and professional level for our needs.

Custom code build for entire website, including additional functionalities such as webstore category displays, custom product search and filter functionality, and data forms.

We worked directly with the GM, Kat and our developer Ross.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The project was delivered on time and in full, with additional support over the following weeks. All requirements were met, with the website operating markedly faster, which has resulted in considerable improvements to our SEO performance.

Regular and clear comms from start to finish meant we were always aware of project progress. Consultative and open comms style allowed us to have input on elements as they came along, and make any necessary tweaks, all within set timelines.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their support had been far beyond what was expected and their flexibility means that a new business such as ours has been able to complete a project of this scale, which was unachievable with alternate suppliers.

The whole process has been smooth and we'd recommend RD to any business looking for web development and design
