I am a philanthropy executive that has worked with some of the world’s most successful software companies.

For what projects/services did your company hire Roam Consulting LLC?

I am constantly working to improve myself and my leadership style. I reach out to Amanda when I need to reconnect with myself and need to invest in building my leadership skills.

SOLUTION

How did you select this firm and what were the deciding factors?

Amanda and I worked through a career transition in 2010 when I left an organization to pursue other opportunities. I took some time off and focused on resting and reconnecting with myself. I recently connected with Amanda to do some more work with the horses because the first experience was so fantastic. Amanda is a well-known leadership coach who balances compassion and empathy with direct communication and a no-nonsense style. She is amazing.

Describe the project in detail and walk through their service package.

Amanda and I worked with her two horses and a fantastic little donkey called Guinness. I mainly worked with a gelding named Cato. Amanda taught me some basic horsemanship and then proceeded to connect my interactions with Cato to my leadership style. It was life-changing. Horses respond immediately to body language, energy, focus, where you are looking, etc. As I learned to adapt my style to improve Cato’s responses to me, Amanda drew parallels with how I show up at the office. I couldn’t be more thankful for everything she has taught me over the years.

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

I worked with Amanda, two horses, Cato and Romie, and with Guinness, the donkey. I love those animals!

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the engagement that demonstrate progress or success?

Amanda combined a great mix of empathy, knowledge, and understanding of leadership challenges and team building. I worked with her to help ground myself, build confidence, and develop a deeper understanding of how to be a leader and team builder. Her work left me energized, excited, and fulfilled!

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Amanda is very easy to work with. The workflow was fantastic.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Amanda’s combination of strength, knowledge, and empathy really helped me connect my work with horses to what is happening inside and how I am showing up for my team. I’ve never experienced a Iife-transforming and affirming outcome like I have with Amanda.
