Responsify has been an invaluable partner for our lean marketing team, especially in the realm of SEO and lead nurturing. We've collaborated on four campaigns, during which they developed strategic content that significantly boosted our website traffic and enhanced our lead nurturing efforts. Over the nine months we've worked together, our website traffic has increased by 25% compared to the previous nine months. 
Moreover, we've experienced an impressive 70% increase in traffic over the last 90 days alone. Responsify's expertise in HubSpot, marketing automation, CRM management, and content creation has been instrumental in these successes. Their team is knowledgeable, easy to work with, and truly understands our industry needs.

As a project manager at heart, I particularly appreciate Responsify's web application, which offers complete transparency on project timelines and task status. This platform not only houses all blog content but also allows for easy edits and requests. The quality of their writing is exceptional, often requiring minimal revisions. Responsify provides our company with content and strategies to help generate leads. Their team writes weekly articles with a focus on SEO keywords. These articles are then added to our website, posted to social media and sent to our marketing list through a marketing campaign they built using HubSpot. Their team is very creative and learns your brand and competitors to help develop the perfect content to engage your audience.

Their team is very organized and never missed a deadline. When they create a campaign, they have dates assigned to every article. Their team is always on top of deadlines, ensuring their content is delivered when it should.

Responsify is not like a traditional marketing agency. They actually take the time to learn your brand to help differentiate your product in the market. Conversations are always positive and let by knowledgeable team members.

In addition, they never miss a deadline. You can be assured that what you sign up for is what you will get. They also target marketing from a few angles. The content is SEO focused and written to engage readers. It is presented via social media as well as through direct email marketing (to an opt in audience).

Through this approach, our company never seemed pushy to get a sale. Instead, we educated them on topics they were interested in. Through that knowledge sharing and trust, we then transformed many into customers.

We hired Responsify to help with a large content development and branding project for one of our clients.

How did you select this vendor?

Interestingly, Responsify's CEO used his firms' innovative approaches to connect with me and our firm. The messaging was very clear and compelling, and it motivated me to want to partner with his firm and utilize his team's talents. I spoke to 2 other firms who offered similar services but Responsify stood out as the clear choice.

Describe the scope of their work in detail.

The scope of work included developing a deep understanding of our clients' product and service offerings and creating a comprehensive content strategy (complete with ongoing content creation).

The objective was to develop content that would not only leverage high-value keywords to increase relevant organic traffic, but also to very effectively tap deeply into our clients' target personas to connect and ensure the messaging resonated and engaged prospects to move through our clients' sales funnels.

What challenge were you trying to address with Responsify?

We needed their support with content generation and social media marketing.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We had multiple meetings with Responsify and filled out forms to clearly explain the buyer persona, including the education level we were looking to attract.

Responsify wrote blog posts for us with the goal of increasing our SEO and our authority in our field. They posted blogs they produced on our Facebook and LinkedIn pages. They performed a lead-generation campaign, and they were supposed to write e-books for us as well. They purchased a list of email subscribers, which they said was highly targeted toward commercial property owners, that they developed an email campaign for. We made edits and approved the final copy.

We measured performance on HubSpot, but Edmund (Founder & CEO) didn’t even look at the campaign performance for two months midway through the campaign.

We worked with Lucas (Growth Strategist) and Edmund.

How did you come to work with Responsify?

We found them through an online search and met with Lucas to explain what we wanted and learn what services they offered. It seemed like the partnership would be a good match.

How much have you invested with them?

We've spent $108,000.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Responsify was a huge disappointment. They never appealed to the target audience we described, which was commercial businesspeople. Instead, they wrote to a residential persona who didn’t know anything about our product. Our consumer was much more educated than their level of writing targeted.

We spent so much time editing — it was exhausting going back and forth with them in terms of what we wanted for the copy. They claimed that writing is subjective but sent us copy that was factually incorrect or had grammatical errors. They did not incorporate our feedback to write in the active voice. Even when they switched writers, the issues persisted. The writing on their website is not the writing we received.

We got nothing from the email campaign. All three responses contained outdated information. From what we could tell, the list Responsify purchased was stale and inaccurate.

Nine months into the partnership, they had only produced 37 out of the 96 blog posts and zero out of eight e-books they were contracted to produce. They published six blog posts without our authorization. At this point, we tried to cut our losses and walk away with grace, but they refused; they claimed that they would cram two-thirds of the blog posts and all of the e-books into the remaining three months of the contract. They completely blindsided us.

How did Responsify perform from a project management standpoint?

We consistently requested a timeline for the blogs, and Responsify kept ignoring us. Edmund was very dismissive and rude; he always talked over us. You would never know we were his clients based on the way he spoke to us.

The platform they managed the project on was painfully slow; it took an endless amount of time to load.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Unfortunately for us, they’ve created a contract we can’t get out of, no matter how unhappy we are.

Are there any areas they could improve?

The owner needs to treat clients like clients and listen to their clients’ needs and then deliver to meet those needs rather than his own standards.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Go elsewhere for content generation and social media marketing. There are plenty of agencies that actually value their clients.
