BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the head of Pace Brantley School. We are a nonprofit educational institution catering to students with learning disabilities.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with RedCell Technologies?

Prior to me coming on board, the school utilized a one-on-one iPad method. We didn’t have any solid infrastructure that could handle the number of devices or students that we had. Whatever we had at the time lacked a firewall OR any sort of safeguard that suits an educational institution. That is why we turn to RedCell.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

At the beginning of the engagement, RedCell spent some time on our campus and assessed where our problem areas were. They leased some of their equipment to us and assisted us in setting those up. They also came up with an overall technology plan that detailed what we should download or have in place to allow us to operate more securely and efficiently. 

Their team then went into assisting us remotely when it came to setting up the necessary safeguards on our desktops. They provided support whenever our teachers encountered any errors or threats on their computers and devices. 

What is the team composition?

They have a full team behind them but I mainly work with Tennyson (CEO) and Alexa (Director of Field Services). 

How did you come to work with RedCell Technologies?

One of our former board members who has his own tech company has worked with RedCell. He was the one who recommended them. 

How much have you invested with them?

We have a multi-year contract, and we pay them a monthly fee of $2,000. 

What is the status of this engagement?

Our partnership began in August 2016. We’re still working with them.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

RedCell’s involvement has enabled us to become more efficient. We’ve been able to bring our technology up to date. The number of times our network or computers have gone down has reduced. The team has upheld a very good response time over the years, and we’ve built a relationship with them that is almost familial. 

How did RedCell Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re perfectly able to come into the campus or help us remotely, depending on what we need. We like that they guide us on how to establish an infrastructure without exceeding our budget. If something is outside of our means, they don’t shut the idea down. They simply help us work our way towards it in the coming year or provide alternative solutions. 

We send tickets for any issues we encounter, but we ring them whenever anything major comes up.

What did you find most impressive about them?

RedCell shows their desire to be part of our institution’s journey and growth. Over the years, they have become very close to our staff. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, nothing comes to mind.
