I’m the owner of a marketing and advertising company.

What challenge were you trying to address with RDG+Partners?

They oversaw the accounting department and reviewed our monthly financials.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

In addition to reviewing our monthly profit and loss (P&L) statement and balance sheet, they provided strategic guidance on how we should staff the company based on our income. They also helped with tax preparation, financial planning, and business consulting.

What is the team composition?

We worked with two partners for 3–4 years. Then they passed on the project to three other people in 2019.  

How did you come to work with RDG+Partners?

A family friend referred them to us.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent about $50,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in December 2014 and we stopped working with them in March 2020.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

They provided excellent service for the first four years we worked with them. However, their work went downhill in the last 18 months of our partnership. The first team we worked with understood our business, but our relationship soured when they brought others on board.

The second team clearly didn’t understand our business and their strategies became less effective. In the end, we couldn’t continue to work with them.

How did RDG+Partners perform from a project management standpoint?

At the beginning of the project, they held regularly scheduled meetings and showed up on time.

In the last two years of our partnership, they stopped proactively scheduling appointments with us. Eventually, they just stopped coming to meetings and never addressed the problems we were having.

What did you find most impressive about them?

When we first started working with them, they provided good strategies and recommendations for us.

Are there any areas they could improve?

The original partners we worked with needed to do a better job communicating with their team. They should have remained involved and overseen the people who were assigned to our account.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Future customers should make sure that there’s a senior-level partner overseeing the work their team is doing.
