I'm Optimes CEO responsible for sales and development. Optimes is a creator of first polish MES system hosted in cloud as SAAS. We are one of polish leading companies in development and implementation of MES & WMS systems in industry.

We hired RC Cloud to expand our SAAS platform with new integration possibilities with various e-commerce systems, OMS systems, and invoicing systems. The goal of the project was to build a stable and scalable solution that will allow you to easily duplicate the created integrators for new systems.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We found them in one of specialistic social media group. After check we check their competitions in initial task and decide to go further in cooperation.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

They designed and developed a Symphony based integration app. We first start from initial task which provide us to create some proof of concept. In next step after some workshop we create with RC Cloud MVP of project. Their provide us very clear and stable solutions in API communication which can also be realized in Rest, GraphQl and SOAP. Final result of work was automatic flow creator between e-commerce sales platform, OMS system and our Optimes MES.

The project team include two backend developers, one tester and one project manager. It was API based platform so we don't need any front.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

This multi-platform engine gave us the ability to easily integrate with the platforms of our customers, which increased the number of Optimes implementations and reduced the labor intensity of handling sales service. Right now we can reduce about 50% time of customer service and have possibility to reduce time of new Optimes instance implementation time by 2 days.

The project management was ad very high level. They met deadlines and we newer have problems in contact, even by phone. We use redline to store project informations.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They are open to new ideas. They know problems of API of many e-commerce platforms and seas systems.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Right now we think that not.

The platform has a loyalty program, which allows our customers to collect points and redeem our products. The platform is closed, and only registered users can access it.

The site is stable and user-friendly, and we’ve seen an improvement in our site traffic. Overall, RC Cloud sp. z o.o.’s support has been integral in the delivery and success of our platform.

RC Cloud sp. z o.o. Has performed well in terms of project management. They’re coordinated, collaborative, and flexible. They deliver on time and within budget, and they’ve adapted well to our working style and processes.
We use Trello to manage the project, and we communicate through Microsoft Teams and email.

What did you find most impressive about them?

RC Cloud sp. z o.o. Goes above and beyond to attend to our needs. They’re also open to trying new systems and new technologies to help us achieve our goals. I also appreciate how eager they are to answer our technical questions and attend to our requests.

What challenge were you trying to address with RC Cloud?

We were developing a commodity bidding platform and had moved our company from the UK to the US. We needed help with its development and tasked RC Cloud with the job.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We described everything to RC Cloud and sent the information to them, and they developed a website and mobile app based on our ideas. The project was divided into a couple of stages. The platform was made as a Magento website at first, after which we created a mobile version using the same backend. We had a second project with them based on Symfony.

What is the team composition?

My business partner and I have worked with Piotr (CEO, RC Cloud) and their IT project manager.

How did you come to work with RC Cloud?

I’m from Poland, where RC Cloud is based, so it was much easier for me to start a collaboration with them. My business partner wanted to find someone in California initially, but RC Cloud was less expensive and had a very good team.

We spent $50,000 on the bidding platform. The total cost for their services has been around $85,000 so far. We paid them for the mobile version separately, and we’ve gotten other services from RC Cloud as well.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with RC Cloud in 2017, and we released the system to clients in 2018. Our latest project was finished in March 2019.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

One of the initial reasons for choosing them is that they’re much cheaper than local developers in California. Secondly, they’re responsive and always ready to fix anything. We’re very happy with the results.

I’m in contact with Piotr and a project manager. Aside from email, they use a special platform for communication and for monitoring the process.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They focused on finishing our project as soon as possible right from the start of the collaboration. We were impressed by this, especially since developers always want to postpone things. My experience with other developers wasn’t so good, so I strongly recommend RC Cloud because they’re responsible.

There’s nothing they should improve from my point of view.
