Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the director of operations at Baremetrics. We offer real-time subscription analytics and financial tools for SaaS businesses, helping them track metrics, reduce churn, recover failed payments, and forecast revenue using integrations with major payment platforms.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with PureSEM?

We wanted to bring in more visitors who fit our ideal customer profile, not just inflate top-line traffic numbers. We also wanted to improve our SEO performance on core SaaS metrics content. We have strong cornerstone articles (like MRR, churn, ARPU, and burn rate), and our goal was to strengthen rankings, expand coverage, and capture more organic demand around SaaS metrics and forecasting.

Additionally, our team was stretched across product, support, and strategy, so partnering with PureSEM gave us the focus and expertise we needed to scale marketing without taking time away from those priorities.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

PureSEM conducted a comprehensive audit of our existing content. They also did keyword research and content gap analysis. The team created a prioritization roadmap for which pages to refresh versus which ones needed new content. PureSEM updated and optimized our high-traffic posts and delivered new long-form articles designed to rank for high intent. The team also worked on SEO improvements, including internal linking, metadata, headings, and readability. PureSEM provided monthly performance dashboards with traffic, rankings, and conversions tied back to trial sign-ups.

How did you come to work with PureSEM?

We found them through a referral. We chose PureSEM because they stood out in a few key areas compared to other options we looked at. First, they specialized in SaaS and subscription businesses. A lot of agencies can run paid ads, but PureSEM demonstrated knowledge of subscription metrics, CAC/LTV balance, and pipeline building for companies like ours. That meant less ramp-up time and more confidence they could plug into our existing growth goals.

Second, they offered hands-on, senior-level execution. With other agencies, we often felt like the strategy was sold by senior people, but the day-to-day work was pushed down to junior account managers. PureSEM gave us confidence that we’d get consistent, high-quality execution from the team we met in the pitch.
