We started with job descriptions, phone screenings, and then a behavioral interview. After that, it was two technical interviews. The process included background checks, reference checking, and if everything went well, we ended up offering a contract. For example, we needed to find candidates for a vacant design position. We looked for self-reliant individuals, and we were able to vet out the candidates and find the right one.

One of our hiring targets was Uruguay, and we did a research about HR Consultancy companies there and the former CEO of a Software Factory in this country referred Prometeo to us as the best option to hire quality candidates in less time.

They are very flexible and adapted the process to our current hiring process, uploading the information on our own Application Tracking System.

One of the challenges was to engage the candidates with the company they don´t know, because we didn´t have employeess in those countries, and people didn´t know too much about SOUTHWORKS but during the first week, Lorena had an interview with one of our founders, and they posted on youtube and spotify as a podcast, to increase our employer branding and help the candidates to know more about us.

We have been working with them since then, and we have seen a continusly improvement, we receive more and more candidates every day with a good ratio of candidates who aproves the technical challenge. They are currently providing us talent from all LATAM and they had found some talented developers from Europe in the past.

Here is where we find added value. The insights gathered from HR Consultancy services are brought to Recruitment services, enabling them to look for candidates who qualify for the given position and match with the culture and values we hold. After defining a job description, they will start gathering candidates adjusting the effort depending on necessity. Then we start receiving prescreened resumes with a detailed report of a preliminary phone interview. From a recruitment standpoint, before starting to work with Prometeo, we used to have a lot of non-valuable interviews. There were many cases in which we examined our recruitment process because the time invested in interviews was not efficient. Once we started working with them, the process evolved, and the rate of candidates that met our requirements boosted. In cases where we needed to fill many positions at once, they were able to scale their efforts. Once we agreed to hire the applicant, the psychological profile helped us understand how the candidate will fit within the team and the organization.

The HR Consultancy services helped us shape the vision we had for this company. Also, they mentored us on management, communication, and soft skills. They were also able to accompany our day-to-day continuous improvement model, always providing their perspective, making insightful questions, challenging our ideas, and being part of our company.

Workflow and engagement are incredibly effective. We don't have a settled recurrent meeting in order to review the quality of services. In fact, they proactively ask questions that might open new considerations as you work with them. They manage expectations very well. How did you select this vendor?

We initially tried to recruit ourselves, based on technical experience as the main focus. This took us a long time and the results were not always positive. We are looking for recruiting companies with reasonable IT experience. After some interviews we met Prometeo, it turned out that he had several references from fellow companies and they also showed great solvency. The experience, the way of communicating and informing about the candidates and the dedication were the key factors. The costs of the service are reasonable and currently we went a step further by adding them as permanent consultants for the company.

Prometeo is in charge of the whole process, from publishing calls on specialized portals with our technical requirements, the position and the team in which each new member will work to the step of confirming the recruitment and notifying the rest of the candidates that the process has finished. Before starting the process, the fundamental aspects are defined: specific knowledge required, position, place of work, range of remuneration. They pre-select candidates, interview potentials, check the background and send us 2 or 3 candidates best positioned for the position. A check is also made of relevant aspects but more difficult to assess such as the ability to adapt to changes, the work culture, how it is related to other colleagues, etc ... Interviews with the ponteciales are coordinated and we participate there to have more precise technical feedback. Once defined who will occupy the position, the process is also closed with the assistance of Prometeo.

We have a manager (from Prometeo) who takes care of our account, he is our main link. Work with your recruiters and applicants. She is my main contact in any recruitment process and is also available to middle managers.

Even in the selection processes for complicated positions we receive a good number of unskilled resumes through our website. We make them available to Prometeo so that they can be integrated into the selection. They are very efficient at analyzing CVs and contacting candidates to attach valuable information to the selection. Candidates who submit are always correct and do so fairly quickly. In the last years we have hardly hired personnel that is not recommended by Prometeo.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

They work very openly and honestly with each selection. Even in specific situations we establish a list of companies that we do not want to affect due to a possible hiring and that is not a problem for them. If a CV raises doubts and we want to delve into data immediately, they get to work on it. They have also advised us a lot in the remuneration negotiations, they monitor the hired candidate until several months later. In general, they are very concerned that the entire process is effective and that the company-employee relationship is lasting.

My account manager is always pending the results. Rarely does a candidate seem incorrect to us and in general in the CVs some notes that complement the information that the candidate was chosen are clarified. ### Finding the Ideal Full-Stack Developer
Prometeo Talent successfully addressed a recruitment challenge for an international medical devices company seeking a qualified full-stack developer in Montevideo, Uruguay. The challenge was finding a full-stack developer in a specific location with limited access to sufficient talent. The client had a tight budget and required the applicant to possess advanced English skills, desktop experience, and a university degree in Systems Engineering.
To tackle the challenge, Prometeo Talent identified the best sources for talent and conducted a multifaceted recruitment process. We utilized LinkedIn filtered searches and supplemented these efforts by searching through our existing database and posting on portals in Uruguay as well as universities in the country. We also created a list of university alumni from Uruguay whose theses were related to the company activities and the profile requirements.
After a long recruitment process that started in July 2021 and ended with the successful candidate being identified and submitted on November 25, 2021, the candidate was eventually hired in January 2022. The candidate remains employed with the company after a year of service, and the company requested additional talent after the successful engagement.
The success of this project was achieved through Prometeo Talent's collaborative efforts, communication, and ability to listen to the client's needs. This recruitment case study demonstrates our ability to find qualified and motivated candidates with technical skills and language ability in a limited location with a tight budget. A US-based AI company focused on identifying software security risks at the planning and design stage needed to scale with precision. When the engagement began, the company had five employees, making every hire critical to culture, execution, and product quality.
Challenges
The company needed senior Python, AI, Frontend, and Product Design profiles while avoiding short-term hires. Cultural alignment was decisive: the CTO is German, direct, and no-nonsense, with a strong preference for focused, low-noise collaboration. The team also required long-term employee attachment and the ability to meet in person for annual team-building sessions. Local hiring norms, especially around reference checks, added complexity.
Market Decision
Ukraine was initially considered for its strong talent base but ruled out due to geopolitical risk and travel constraints. Cultural Adaptation
Reference checks proved sensitive in Poland, where candidates are reluctant to involve contacts early. This was resolved by clearly positioning reference checks as a requirement before any interview process began, avoiding friction later.

A focused RPO model was implemented using two part-time RPO consultants rather than one full-time resource, ensuring continuity while preventing burnout. The process included structured interviews with the CTO, hiring manager, CEO, and external experts when needed. Candidate decisions were centralized in a fixed weekly meeting every Tuesday, creating discipline and speed in a market where candidates often evaluate multiple offers.
