Please describe your company and your position there.

I am the Sr. Director of Operations & Finance at 906 CMVI Holdings. We distribute dietary supplements and personal hygiene items across the world. I am responsible for all of the companies daily operations as well as finances.

For what projects/services did your company hire Pro Prep and Fulfillment Australia?

We hired Pro Prep and Fulfillment Australia to facilitate our shipments from the US, going into Australia's Amazon sites.

Soon after, our needs changed and Pro Prep was able to offer us fulfillment and warehousing services as well.

What were your goals for this project?

Our goals were simple, with little to no mistakes with B2C shipments and we expected there to be a shipping time of fewer than 24 hours, from the order arrival.

Additionally, we wanted crisp communication to avoid issues as we experienced with other companies.

Initially, Pro Prep came recommended by Amazon as a company in the field of forwarding, that had some positive reviews and experiences.

Pro Prep and Fulfillment Australia perform ongoing warehousing and fulfillment services for our company. Pro Prep also manages the relationships with shipping carriers and offers competitive pricing.

What was the team composition?

Initially, I was working directly with Paul, but soon there was a dedicated team built for us to handle our daily needs.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Due to the responsiveness and accuracy of the way the team at Pro Prep handles our business, we have experienced order volume growth in Australia by 45% year over year.

This is no doubt due to the fact that Pro Prep consistently meets our less than 24 hour shipping time.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Extremely effective, excellent communication between teams and leadership.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

The willingness to take on a new opportunity and cultivate the relationship to make it grow.

The Pro Prep team has always given me confidence that our products and customers are handled with great care.

Are there any areas for improvement?

I wish Pro Prep and Fulfillment Australia would expand to other countries as they would be my choice.

By far, the service I receive from them is much better than the companies I work within other countries.

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the director of global marketplaces at an online retailer company. We do our businesses on platforms like Amazon and eBay.

What challenge were you trying to address with Pro Prep and Fulfillment?

We’re looking to expand our marketplace and our portfolio. We want something like a fulfillment or Amazon service piece — services like labeling products and preparing products before they land on the platform. Our company wants a local partner in Australia who can understand our story and help our businesses.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Pro Prep and Fulfillment helps with everything except legal work such as taxes, business registration, and other legal matters. Their team is responsible for getting our products from the US to Australia and overseeing its run through the customs.

They make sure our products are relabeled, Polybagged, and taken care of before shipping and handing over to Amazon. Whenever there are issues regarding the product, Pro Prep and Fulfillment will pull that product from Amazon, fix it, and return it back to the platform.

Overall, they’re a cohesive part of our business and a key partner in our business operations in Australia. 

What is the team composition?

Our company is mainly in contact with Paul (President) who then relays everything to their end, but we’re not sure how many are there. 

How did you come to work with Pro Prep and Fulfillment?

We found Pro Prep and Fulfillment through searching Google. Also, We have a different partner for a similar business of ours in Canada. We asked them if they would want to handle a similar job, but in Australia. They then referred us to Pro Prep and Fulfillment, and getting a referral from a company in the same logistics industry is big.

The main thing that made us go with them is hearing the feedback about Paul. We heard from a reliable source that their president was great at this work and then he jumped on a call with us to discuss the engagement. He said what he could provide with us and his fast turnaround closed the deal for us.

What is the status of this engagement?

This partnership started in January 2019 and it’s ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Pro Prep and Fulfillment became an integral part of our business. We even told Paul and his team that he should come to the US because the business we deal with here isn’t as good as the quality of service they provide. The team is top-notch when it comes to handling our needs. 

How did Pro Prep and Fulfillment perform from a project management standpoint?

Our team mainly communicates with their end through email. Before, we kept in touch through Skype but eventually shifted to WhatsApp. Fortunately, we don’t experience any issues regarding the time zone difference.

As far as a project management standpoint, we directly tell Paul what we need and they promptly work on that. Once we give our approval to them, we’re out of that task and they will work independently on it. It’s really good to do business with them because they deliver.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The costs of their services stand out for us. Since we already work with other teams in this industry, we know the ranges of cost, and their cost is better in many cases. We even ended up going with their shipping account because their rates are significantly better than our own rate.

Outside of that, Pro Prep and Fulfillment is just a joy to work with because they get things done. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

We think they can expand to the US. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

The big thing about partnerships is trust and this is based on our own experience. You should enable your trust in them because that is when things will start to shift and you will see how they’ll deliver. Anyone who wants to do businesses like this should understand that it’s not just a service, but rather a partner.
