I’m the director of a statutory self-governing body representing physicians and dentists in the Małopolska and Podkarpackie regions. We’re responsible for licensing, professional oversight, ethical standards, continuing education, and protecting the interests of the medical profession.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Prismaware?

We needed Prismaware to conduct a comprehensive cybersecurity and infrastructure security audit to identify risks and strengthen the protection of critical business data. We also needed them to perform penetration testing across the infrastructure, applications, and security controls to identify and eliminate potential vulnerabilities before they could be exploited. In addition, we needed Prismaware to migrate network resources to the Microsoft Cloud and transition the email environment to an enterprise-grade solution to improve security, reliability, and scalability.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Prismaware conducted a comprehensive cybersecurity and infrastructure security audit. Their deliverables included a comprehensive cybersecurity assessment report, infrastructure security review and gap analysis, risk and vulnerability matrix with severity ratings, an executive summary with key findings, a prioritized remediation roadmap, security hardening recommendations, and a compliance assessment.Prismaware also performed internal and external penetration testing. They validated the web application and security control and provided a comprehensive penetration testing report, technical assessment outcomes with proof of findings, vulnerability prioritization, remediation guidance, and post-remediation verification.Moreover, Prismaware provided a Microsoft Cloud migration strategy and implementation. They migrated network resources and Microsoft 365 email services, configured identity and access management, implemented a security baseline, and conducted migration validation and user acceptance testing. Finally, they provided a post-migration assessment report, system health review, and operational documentation.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Prismaware identified and remediated 100% of the critical and high-risk vulnerabilities discovered during the cybersecurity audit and penetration testing. They also reduced our organization's attack surface by over 70% through infrastructure hardening and security improvements. We successfully migrated all network resources and email services to the Microsoft Cloud with zero data loss and minimal business disruption.Moreover, we increased email system availability to 99.9% while improving reliability, scalability, and security through an enterprise-grade platform. Prismaware implemented centralized identity and access management, enabling stronger access controls and streamlined administration. They also enhanced compliance readiness and established a secure foundation for future business growth and digital transformation initiatives.

How did Prismaware perform from a project management standpoint?

Prismaware not only delivered on time but also outreached the scope without increasing the price. We had in-person meetings.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Prismaware was available full-time, even during the evenings and over the weekends. We were impressed with the full engagement of their professionals.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Prismaware refused to transfer to our company one of their professionals we really wanted to hire. I think they should have a dedicated procedure for such transfers to their ongoing customers. Now, we just hired the company for maintenance with our favorite professional, but I'd prefer to have him on our payroll.
