What challenge were you trying to address with Primus Visuals?

My future wife at that time and I were looking for a videographer for our wedding, which would take place in January 2020.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Primus Visuals was in charge of the video production and photography for my wedding. The day of the wedding, they arrived about two hours before it started. I was already there to meet them, and they interviewed me and my wife. They recorded the venue and the moment when both of us — bride and groom — were dressing up and getting ready. As people were filtering in, they started taking video of them coming into the party. They videoed the ceremony and captured everything regarding that. Finally, they filmed the reception. Between the video recording process, they also had drones taking pictures of the East Valley and Downtown area of the city. It was a beautiful day, so they got some great shots.

Once it was finished, they sent us a teaser, and they came to our house to show us the final result. The reception part was eight minutes, and the ceremony and everything else was about 16 minutes. They also did a short video of us reacting to the wedding recording, which we received in the link they provided us with. Afterward, we purchased some raw footage from them too, which was really awesome material. 

What is the team composition?

I only met with two members, Kyle and Skyler, who were the ones at the wedding taking the videos at different angles. They had Jay (Video Producer/Office Manager) coordinate the actual video and what we were going to get.

How did you come to work with Primus Visuals?

We looked for videographers online. We came up with a list of them, and we took a look at what they presented to us. Initially, we saw some of Primus Visuals' videos on Vimeo, and we were very impressed.

I called them and spoke to one of their video producers. He was very engaging and presented himself very well. He sent me some packages and we met in a little coffee shop in Tempe. We chose a specific package that included eight hours of filming and drone usage, which made us look forward to what they were going to offer. 

How much have you invested with them?

We spent around $3,000–$3,500.

What is the status of this engagement?

We met 5–6 months prior to the wedding, around September 2019, to get everything coordinated. We finished up in January 2021.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

I sent some of the videos to people, and they thought that they were absolutely awesome.

How did Primus Visuals perform from a project management standpoint?

Their preparation was very solid and meticulous. They told us what they were going to do and they stuck to the plan, so we knew what to expect when they delivered.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Primus Visuals worked with professionalism, delivering more than what we had anticipated. The team was very friendly and engaging, so I have nothing but confidence in their work and the final product they presented to us. 

We were very pleased and thrilled for them to film the video of our wedding. Moreover, they were progressive. I’d never seen drones being incorporated into something like this. They seemed to be in a new millennium and caught some good moments, so we were fortunate to have them.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don’t think so. They had a specific purpose and they achieved it. We’d always like a little more footage, but they gave us the best and they coordinated it. The tease and final work were spot on, and they delivered what we wanted from them. 

Any advice for potential customers?

Let Primus Visuals know what you want and be specific about it. They’ll explore different ways to make your experience better than what you could ever imagine. If you leave it up to them, they’ll do a good job, but if you have ideas that you can bring up, don’t hesitate to do so.

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the owner of Advanced Sterilization Pros. We're a manufacturer and an applicator for anti-microbial coating solutions.

What challenge were you trying to address with Primus Visuals?

We wanted them to create a video explaining the technology that we manufacture and how it has been around for longer than people understand.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Most people just know about ammonia-based or bleach-based cleaning products. Our product is different — that's what we wanted to get across with the video that Primus Visuals created.

We worked with Jay (Video Producer) on the project. We provided the script, and he guided us in the right direction. Not only that, we wanted the video to be shorter. However, with the content that we wanted to put in there, we weren't able to do that. Jay did some research on the product, too. 

What is the team composition?

My main point of contact was Jay. 

How did you come to work with Primus Visuals?

My wife looked someone up locally and that's how she was able to find Jay. We talked to a couple of different people, but when I spoke to Jay, he sounded like someone I could work with pretty easily and could give us what we were looking for.

How much have you invested with them?

We invested somewhere around $2,300–$2,400.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked from September–November 2020. It took a bit longer because we changed up the script a couple of times, and we needed to have things reviewed by people that work with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We showcased the video on our social media platforms, such as Facebook, and on our website. I do send it out to a lot of our clients nationwide. Our clients that watched the video loved it. Jay understood the message pretty well, so the deliverables and the timeframe were exactly what we were expecting. Since the video was well-received by our clients, that meant more lead generation for us. They did an amazing job and that's why I want to refer him to as many collaborators as possible.

How did Primus Visuals perform from a project management standpoint?

We communicated via email and phone calls.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The personal attention that Jay gave us was what stood out the most. When I wasn't around, Jay talked to my wife to discuss and give ideas and for me to implement. That was a nice experience for me, working with someone that was local. He did a great job, and it was easy to work with him, while also keeping the price reasonable.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Maybe he could have bought me a drink, but that's about it! I don’t have any complaints about the services he provided.

Any advice for potential customers?

Have as much of it written down or at least outlined for people to take their own summary or throw bullet points of what they need.  If you do those, the job goes quicker, and Primus Visuals can get the job done a lot faster. Jay had a lot of good recommendations when it came to the script because he really enjoyed learning about the product. He couldn't believe that there was actually a product out there that does what it does.
