I'm the Director, IT for PECKO Electronics Industries Pte. Ltd. We are based in 4 countries (Singapore, Malaysia, China, and New Zealand). PECKO is a full-service contract manufacturer specializing in electrical control panel assembly and box build assembly, wiring harnesses, cable assemblies, and electromechanical assemblies.

Our services include dedicated project management, engineering and design, complete sample and prototyping support, comprehensive part verification, testing, certification, and full-scale supply chain management, including worldwide component sourcing and a wide range of inventory management programs.

We can also assist with offshore manufacturing for high labor/volume manufacturing, and have dedicated work cells to handle schedule changes and seasonal or sales demand fluctuations.

As a manufacturing company, we have to deal with thousands of products and hundreds of customers and vendors to deliver our promises on time. We used Infor LN which is a very expensive ERP solution and requires a lot of support. Thus we decided to switch to a simple and effective solution.

We found PPTS via Odoo's portal. They are one of their Gold partners.

The whole ERP system's functionalities have to be migrated to the new System including the existing data. PPTS helped in getting it done professionally from the initialization stage until delivery.

PPTS assigned a team of 4 (PM, Developer, Technical Analyst, and a QA). The Project Manager is our main point of contact.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The previous ERP system which costed us Half a million Singapore dollars to implement and with the US $49,000 as yearly support cost. Whereas the application cost for Odoo was less than $25,000 for 3 years. We saved around 83% in our yearly cost and got a better working system.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Initially, we had a communication gap but once it was escalated the IT director (Rizwan) jumped in and fixed it immediately. The moment we listed our requirements, they actioned it quickly and get the job done.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I was impressed with the quality and I find it unique for the cost we get the job done.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

We wish if they work in our time zone to get our requirements done even faster. The current timezone difference of 2.5 hours gets an additional delay. We hope this can be eradicated by making a resource working in our time zone.

I’m an independent company and I work as an interim manager for a company called Top Vision Group.

We needed an ODOO certified company to develop a website for our company.

What was the scope of their involvement?

PPTS is creating and developing an ODOO website for us. One of the key functionalities of the project is the website should be interconnected with the ODOO system we’re currently running to manage our inventory, purchasing invoicing, etc. Another important aspect is a configurator for our products.

We are in the B2B business and manufacture high-end presentation systems for optical retail, so we want our customers to buy and select our products in the right colors and right configuration, throughout the various configurators incorporated in our website.

Moreover, another important criterion for us is for them to create a high-end functioning responsive website, where all functionalities can be used on laptops, iPads, and iPhones.

What is the team composition?

We mainly work with two people. One is an associate tech lead, and the other one is a project manager.

We were looking for an ODOO qualified company in India that meets our price and budget. We found that PPTS has the experience, knowledge, skill sets and right attitude to meet all our requirements to create the best results together.

We kicked off our ongoing partnership in January 2021.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

PPTS is a great company with great communication skills. They give immediate responses throughout the day and frequently during meetings. We’re very happy with their openness and willingness to make the right product. I’m very satisfied with the progress and what we’ve realized so far.

How did PPTS India Pvt Ltd perform from a project management standpoint?

Even though we had to delay some parts of the project due to the supply of our content or covid complications, we're still making the right progress and keeping each other in the loop. We maintain very open communication which is good, even if expectations can’t be met.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They always have the desire to make the product work on their end.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

My advice would be to create the right expectations for both sides. It’s like building a house. The clearer you specify your order, the better house you’ll get — be extremely clear with what you want to build, and PPTS is the right company to make it happen.

We are a startup, we are a technology company that focus on the digital transformation for the automotive industry. We have plans to release our first version of our platform by Q4 this year. This initial stage of our platform couldn't be better. We hope we can keep the good work for the next phases of our project.

Everything can be done faster, but we are satisfied with the quality of the work and with the expertise and kindness all the team members print in their activities.

We are a company that treats and reprocesses waste electronic material. We collect those materials from various sources, which we then put through various treatments to extract the precious metals and then resell the materials that don’t fit into our core business. I am the head of support services.

What challenge were you trying to address with PPTS India Pvt Ltd?

I was given the project of developing a new enterprise resource planning system for the company and needed a development partner to help us do it.

What was the scope of their involvement?

The first step of the project was to conduct an audit and determine the exact elements of the product that we wanted to create. Once that was completed, they started providing code and implementation for a customized version of the software called Odoo that we are utilizing.

They are an Odoo reseller, and the base program is a cloud-based software written in Python. Once we had scoped out the functionalities and customizations that we wanted to add to the program, they built all of that out on top of the base program.

What was the team composition?

We’ve had three individuals working with us on a regular basis, including two developers and a manager.

How did you come to work with PPTS India Pvt Ltd?

Our company went through an extensive search for the right vendor to partner with, and the PPTS team not only spoke French, which was important as we are a French company but also had the strongest offer by far, so we decided to move forward with them.

In total, we’ve spent about €50,000 (approximately $57,000 USD).

What is the status of this engagement?

The project started in November 2019 and is still ongoing. We are in the rollout phase of the product currently.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We work in a scrum structure with them, so we run a project management board where we give them specific tasks and specifications, and they always deliver what we give them to complete. They work very closely with our team, and the quality of what they’ve delivered has totally satisfied all of our requirements so far.

How did PPTS India Pvt Ltd perform from a project management standpoint?

They have performed very well, helping us to meet all of the challenges that we’ve run into throughout the project. We realized relatively recently that our users needed extra functionalities that they hadn’t described to us from the beginning, and they have been right there with us in the catch-up phase of adding all of those features to the system.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their responsiveness really is excellent and makes the project much easier for us to work on. They sent two of their developers here to work closely with us for three months, which really started us off on a great foot by demonstrating a unique level of dedication to the project.

On top of that, they match their knowledge of and skill with Odoo with their enthusiasm for the work, which made the process much more enjoyable for us. There was no question for us about whether or not they could do the job and were committed to the project.

Are there any areas they could improve?

The main thing was the development of the user specification. Obviously, to a certain extent, it would have been difficult to foresee the changes in requirements that we’ve had since the beginning, but I think we all could have done a little bit more to make sure we were more prepared.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Establish a solid project team, make sure you have the specification correctly defined, and run the project in clearly defined modules so you can build it, test it, and get it going as rapidly as possible.

I was Founder and CFO of a small I.T. firm in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

We were using Netsuite to manage all of our accounting and business process, but then we switched to a different product for business process and Netsuite was too expensive to only use for accounting.

We determined that Odoo was the right software to use for accounting, and we selected PPTS to help us with the transition and customization of Odoo.

Migrate our accounting from Netsuite to Odoo.

We reviewed several Odoo partners in Canada and abroad, and found PPTS via upwork.

We need to bring all the feature that we were used to in Netsuite into Odoo: Standardized accounting Line for line product billing from quote to purchase to vender bill to client invoice.

What was the team composition?

We were assigned a project manager from PPTS, plus several delvelopers, and I was the project manager on our side. We also had input and vetting from our management team.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We went live with Odoo as planned, and we used Odoo until we sold our company three year later.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Workflow was very effective. As we are 11.5 hours difference in timelines, we often talked and email at the beginning of my day, or late at night. PPTS would execute my requests and or project tasks as I slept, and I would be able to vet when I got up.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

They were very honest and accountable. I actually visited their office in Coimbatore, India, and they treated me like royalty, even though my project was very small for them. I could tell from their office that they treated their team differently than other companies.

MediTECH Electronic GmbH small medium enterprise working in the field of learning enhencement and brain processing. We are a medical device manufacturer based in northern Germany, serving our community since 1996.

As of January 2017, we switched our ERP system to Odoo 10. We invested significantly in support and customization with domestic partners I did not receive the Service Center response time we needed there.

Then we found PTSD and switched to their services. With their unwavering support we were able to customize the existing solution and just now switched to version 10 of Odoo.

We are receiving continuous support and customization services from PPTS to facilitate and improve our daily business routines even more.

Our key aim was to spend less time fixing problems and a lot more time serving our clients and promoting our unique products and solutions.

Odoo is a very smart and complex ERP, CRM, CMS and more system. Getting it fully operational Matching our requirements and work routines was and is a complex matter. We have no customized most of the integrated modules and are able to use them as fit for our company.

On the side of PPTS, there was always our personal IT specialist contact. He was always supported by his life was capable manager. Other experts were brought in as needed.
