   3. Water producers are considered eligible for water credits retirement if they are minters on the protocol and are approved by DAO
   4. Water producers define the price of the water at this stage, price is the same for all locations. Alternatively, when the API for getting water credit USD price based on the location is introduced, it is integrated into the application and is used for defining the water credit price
   5. Customers need to pay the USD to escrow when creating orders for water offset
   6. After FIAT is paid successfully, customers can create an on-chain order for water offset

What was the scope of their involvement?

Pharos Production Inc. developed smart contracts and the front end for an Ethereum-based borrowing protocol. The smart contracts covered all the essential functionality, including collateral deposits, loan issuance, interest calculations, repayments, and liquidation triggers. They also integrated price oracles and put in place safeguards like collateral ratio enforcement, which gave us a strong level of confidence in the security and reliability of the system.

The main outcome was that the entire borrowing protocol — both the smart contracts and the front end — was delivered exactly as we scoped and was fully functional. All the core features, from collateral deposits and borrowing to repayments and liquidation logic, worked as intended. The platform was completed on time, tested successfully, and we were able to move forward with confidence knowing the system was stable, secure, and ready for users.

Within the first month of launch, the borrowing protocol onboarded over 500 active users and processed more than 1,200 transactions without any downtime or security issues. The smart contracts performed reliably under load, and we saw borrowing volumes exceed $1 million in the initial rollout phase. From a performance standpoint, both the front end and the contracts ran smoothly, with transaction confirmations and collateral updates executing as expected. These early adoption numbers gave us strong validation that the system was both technically sound and well-received by users.
