We needed someone to provide us with video production services to promote and educate people about our products.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Percepto Studios is helping us develop our marketing videos to amplify our branding and products. We first provide them with a basic outline of what we want, develop a rough script, and from there, identify what type of fixes or builds we need for the product.

After that, we finalize the location through the initial research, along with the lighting and shot list. Moreover, they’re also responsible for the audio and post-production, as well as an extensive product photography service.

What is the team composition?

It depends on the scope of work, but we’ve worked anywhere from 6–12 people from their team.

How did you come to work with Percepto Studios?

We found out about them through word of mouth.

What is the status of this engagement?

Our ongoing partnership started in September 2018.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We don’t have any specific metrics, but we’ve reached over 1 billion hits on some of our videos, and I relate that success directly to Percepto Studios’ work.

How did Percepto Studios perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re consistently responsive, on budget, and on time with their deliverables, and they accomplish their tasks quickly and efficiently.

We typically communicate through email, text, and phone.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We’re impressed with their creativity and innovation in approaching the project from different angles and positions.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I would advise them to plan a tighter schedule and document the outline of each shoot.

I would advise you to be more definite and clear with what you need in terms of production and describe the project clearly up front before engaging with them.

I’m the senior marketing manager at Collins Aerospace. We provide several solutions to the aerospace industry, from aircraft connectivity services to actuators and avionics. I organize and execute global marketing campaigns to support the various units at my company.

What challenge were you trying to address with Percepto Studios?

We hired Percepto Studios to produce video content for our marketing campaigns. 

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

The first time we worked with Percepto Studios, we were releasing a new feature for pilots on our digital flight support services. We knew our value proposition and why we needed a video to promote it. We provided the concepts we had about telling that story to Percepto Studios. 

Percepto Studios took those concepts and turned them into a storyboard and action plan they could execute. Once the plans were finalized, we storyboarded and shot the three-minute video at an airfield in New England. Once the shooting was done, Percepto Studios’ team produced the video. 

During the production process, Percepto Studios provided us with several proofs to evaluate and provide feedback on. They got close to delivering exactly what we wanted on the first draft — we only had 1–2 edits. Once the video edits were done, they produced the final video, which we pushed out as part of a social media marketing campaign. 

The video was an interview, led by Hank (Owner & Creative Director), of one of our subscribers. Hank asked a lot of questions that helped the interview explain our value proposition.

We worked with Hank, who led the project. We also worked with Caz (Creative Producer), Percepto Studios’ production assistant and videographer. 

How did you come to work with Percepto Studios?

I found them on Google and connected with them because they were local — we’re located in Annapolis, Maryland, and they were in Baltimore, Maryland. After reaching out to them and several other companies, I hired Percepto Studios because I liked Hank. 

How much have you invested with them?

We invested around $26,000. 

What is the status of this engagement?

This project was from August–September 2019.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

The video metrics were outstanding — the video outperformed almost every ad our company had running for the preview few quarters. We were really excited by the interest we got from the video; the engagement rate was around 30% higher than our previously best-performing ad. 

That increased engagement resulted in an increase in sales. I don’t think anyone else could’ve done the project as well as Percepto Studios did. They definitely outperformed what we’d expect to get from a similarly budgeted project. 

How did Percepto Studios perform from a project management standpoint?

They were very responsive, and I was very happy with their turnaround time. Percepto Studios’ team worked quickly to deliver the final product. We never had an issue with their project management — they over-delivered. 

Their team stayed within the budget quote they provided. They helped us with the licensing agreements and negotiated pricing to ensure their final deliverables were within our budget and scope requirements. 

Hank was always accessible, and we usually communicated through email. However, I could send him a text message if something was urgent. We sometimes touched base through a phone call. Their team always provided timely responses. 

Their team was professional during the video shoot but also very fun, which was good because we were working with our customers — we didn’t hire professional talent. They put everyone at ease, which translated to a natural-feeling ad. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

The final product Percepto Studios delivered was fantastic. Their team took what was essentially the scope of a standard customer testimonial ad and turned it into a cinematic-quality ad.

No, Percepto Studios was great. We had a seamless experience.

I'm the founder and CEO of a plant design business that installs large-scale living green walls.

What challenge were you trying to address with Percepto Studios?

We needed assistance with marketing and branding, specifically with filming a video that showcased what our company does.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Percepto Studios came in with a concept and storyboards, and we brainstormed together after we explained our company and who we were. After that, they came on site and we shot the video. They provided all equipment and were responsible for the post-production, which included editing and audio mixing. The video was four minutes long and published on Vimeo and YouTube.

They were a referral.

They were very organized and communicative, and all the work was delivered on time and within budget. We communicated via phone and email, and we used Asana for project management.

Percepto Studios offered creative solutions throughout our partnership. They were excellent collaborators, and we would absolutely work with them again. Hank is a fantastic owner and a great person to work with.

I’m a senior project manager at Brightview Senior Living. I work for the firm’s real estate development side. The company is an owner, operator, and developer of senior living communities up and down the East Coast, operating in all metro markets from Boston, Massachusetts, to Northern Virginia. This covers around 7–8 states. We have 46 urban communities and open 2–4 new communities annually.

What challenge were you trying to address with Percepto Studios? 

We hired Percepto to create marketing collateral for us.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Our marketing team works with Percepto to put together marketing collateral for our new and existing communities. The collateral helps us reach out to prospects looking for senior living opportunities. On the HR side, our retention and recruitment team works with Percepto to create similar marketing assets; the team creates videos and other digital media to advertise the firm and the opportunities to work with us.

Personally, I’ve worked on 3–4 videos with Percepto. In total, the team has done around 10 videos for us, specifically for opening new communities and highlighting their features and connections to the surrounding neighborhoods. The focus of these videos — which consist of short, one-minute clips to long, three-minute videos — is to provide information about our services to our residents. Some of the videos are uploaded on YouTube, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and other social media platforms. Meanwhile, some are on our community's websites and our landing page.

My primary point of contact is Hank (Owner & Creative Director). I speak to the rest of his team when they’re out in the field shooting the videos and working with the talent.

I found Voco online and was impressed with their super clean website. Meanwhile, I knew Hank through a variety of activities in our area. When I found the opportunity to work with him via Brightview, we engaged him and his team.

For the projects that Percepto and I have worked on, the cost has been around $100,000–$200,000 over the years.

We started working together in June 2018, and the engagement is ongoing.

Hank and Percepto have elevated our marketing materials through the videos they produce. Our marketing team has been extremely happy with the end product.

I am the manager of promotions and marketing for a commodity organization. This organization is a state agency that serves the commodity in the areas of research, promotion and education.

Our organization has hired Percepto Studios for multiple projects through the years; primarily video production. Percepto has created various commercial/promotional spots for a variety of projects.

Percepto was recommended by a trusted source in the industry, so the decision to work with them was easy. The quality of their work is superb.

Our process with Percepto has included various steps - from brainstorming ideas, creating a shot list, capturing content, writing scripts, reviewing material, etc. Percepto does a great job of communicating thoroughly and often throughout the process and is creative in what they put together.

Who did you work with and what was the feedback process like?

We worked primarily with the creative director, who provided clear and helpful feedback throughout our project.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We have used video projects from Percepto in a variety of arenas - football stadiums, movie theaters, state fairs, online and television. We always receive positive feedback! One of the videos created is our second most popular video on our YouTube channel. It has 215,000 views.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

The creative director was easy to work with and communicate with. After initial conversations over the phone, most of our discussions took place via email. Prompt responses and clear communication were always prevalent.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Percepto took the time to learn our commodity and showcase it in the best way possible. The quality of work and storytelling is first-class.
