Pathfinders Studio developed the Regenerative Stories educational app, from narrative design and user experience to Unity programming. Key deliverables included the initial prototype, full app development, integration with VideoAsk, and publication in mobile stores. They also provided support on branding and optimization of the interactive experience.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The project successfully launched the app in MVP version on Google Play and the App Store, achieving its first organic downloads. We obtained initial engagement metrics (playtime and positive user feedback) that validated the value proposition. Additionally, the integration with VideoAsk allowed us to begin measuring interactions and prepare for the conversion to premium experiences.

Project management was clear and organized. Pathfinders Studio met the agreed deadlines and delivered each phase on time. They were very responsive to our needs, with good communication and flexibility to accommodate adjustments during development.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

What impressed me the most was the personalized attention from their CEO, Lucas Malvaso. He was directly involved throughout the process, always available, and genuinely committed to understanding our vision. That level of leadership and client care is rare and truly set the company apart

Are there any areas for improvement or something Pathfinders Studio could have done differently?

Overall, the experience was very positive. If anything, I would suggest providing more detailed documentation of each development stage, so that clients like us can better follow the technical progress. Beyond that, the collaboration was excellent.

Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.

I asked Pathfinder to build a template of an AR supporting mobile game in Unity. I specifically wanted the ability to easily customize the UX including big features like dropping in new screens, as well as small polish features like adjusting UI animation timings. I was looking for an app that supported a dynamic loading phase, custom serialized data saving, and abstracted asset loading.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Lucas delivered progress update videos regularly, aswell as constantly checked in with design and implementation questions. He was always able to supply whatever screenshots, videos, or other resources I requested of the development process. In the end I was delivered functional android and iOS app bundles, as well as the source code for my own future use.

He was always prompt to respond and professional in communication. Whatever doubts I had about the studio's abilities he was quick to alleviate.

Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?

Deliverables were always given in a VERY organized manner and right on time. Every request and question I could think of Lucas was quick with an answer and a solution. Lucas took it upon himself to go through any extra steps to ease the process on my end. Overall the process was a walk in the park on account of Lucas' true passion for being a great business partner.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I was most impressed with Pathfinder's in depth understanding of the mobile space. I came in with a mostly thought out propsal and design spec and Lucas quickly took what I gave him and ran with it. He already knew the ins and outs of every problem I had, and was quick to go above and beyond. Working with Lucas I truely felt like I had a partner, and not just an employee.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Pathfinders Studio could have done differently?

I seriously can't think of a single step of the process that didn't go as smooth as possible. Pathfinder was a joy to work with and I'll be quick to reach back out when I need some more help!

Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.

This was an agile project where the final scope was not entirely clear.  We executed multiple contracts and operated in a scrum workflow. The project was based on a MVP educational game built on Unity, and Azure Playfab, targetting iOS, Android and web.  The goal of the project was to identify shortcomings in the MVP architecture, improving scalability and security while getting the app ready to publish.
We had numerous feature requests that were completed, including common items like social authentication, and soliciting ratings.  Additionally, we had a number of core features implemented, which were central to the gameplay.  Lastly, we needed support modernizing the UX to ensure it met the expectations of our customers.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We measured success by delivering the agreed upon features within time and on budget, while providing a high quality of work. To this goal, each requested feature was delivered on time, within budget, and met a high standard of quality and user experience.

Project Management was exceptional.  Lucas was available, attentive, and had quick, instinctual solutions to the challenges that arose.  Written communication and contracting was detailed and thorough.  Quick responses through messaging ensured I was aware and in control throughout the project.

Pathfinders has been an exceptional partner, and we expect to continue our partnership. We were most impressed with their experience and comfort in using our technologies. Whether it was a technical decision impacting architecture and scalability, or if it was a design decision that had longterm consequences, Pathfinders had a string understanding of the best course forward.
