I am the general manager of Ferrara Candy Company. I oversee the legacy Kellogg cookie business like Keebler, Famous, and more.

What challenge were you trying to address with Outkreate?

They helped us create all of our education and communication materials for our customers and for our internal meetings as we evolve our business.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We needed internal education documents and external communication documents outlining our vision, strategy, future, and how we inspire confidence. They helped us create amazing visual materials to illustrate what we do and what we can do.

What is the team composition?

They’re a true partner. I’ve connected members of their team with stakeholders in my organization so that they could reach our goals. I interact with Harry (Founder & CEO) who has a team behind him.

How did you come to work with Outkreate?

They were used by our corporate affairs group and I saw their work. I was impressed and hired them for my projects.

How much have you invested with them?

I’ve invested around $100,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started work in October 2019 and the relationship is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Our internal selling documents have become the template for what best in class looks like across our organization. Although I only deal with cookies, other business units are relaunching our business plan and it has been incredibly well-received by customers. We never have to reinvent the wheel, we just enhance the wonderful documents we already have. It’s a great testament to their product.

How did Outkreate perform from a project management standpoint?

We mainly communicate over phone calls, email, or text. Harry gets super excited and is an excellent business partner.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I feel like I get 110% of their mind space. I never receive cookie cutter work. They seek to understand what we are trying to do and customize their approach.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I’ve been really pleased with their work. If I have a critique or want something to be faster, I tell Harry and he gets it done. They’ve been great.

If you’re looking for a customized approach, they are amazing.

We were interested in designing innovative, engaging ways to convey internal communications that would be accessible to all audiences and seniority levels.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Outkreate has processed some of the materials we had come up with and put together content for internal presentations. They design infographics, PDF documents, and PowerPoints. The team has also produced videos. 

The team also supports us with internal social media posts and strategizes on methods to communicate the same messages to different audiences.

What is the team composition?

At the beginning of our engagement, our main point of contact was Harry (Founder & CEO, Outkreate). He has a team of about three to five people who support him.

How did you come to work with Outkreate?

I had a previous relationship with Harry.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent between $50,000-$70,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We began working with Outkreate in 2019 for various projects and deliverables, and our engagement is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

The work Outkreate puts together has impressed internal audience members of all seniority levels. We’ve received better outputs than we even thought possible.

As our partnership has progressed and we've experienced more success with one another, we started to develop a closer relationship with the team who supports Harry. They make us look great internally, and we were motivated to connect with them and let them know we appreciate their work.

We also want to streamline our workflow and make it more efficient, so we can maximize our success going into this year.

How did Outkreate perform from a project management standpoint?

We connect with Harry about once every two to three weeks to give feedback and discuss our goals and timeline. Throughout the duration of a project, we use text messages, phone calls, and Zoom to communicate.

The team is iterative and flexible, which makes them excellent partners. Because we work on so many different deliverables, it’s difficult for us to pinpoint an exact destination, but Outkreate excels in collaborating on projects that are continuous and evolving.

They work with us in a constructive manner as a true thought partner.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Outkreate’s excellence of execution sets them apart from other firms. Their content has exceeded our expectations. 

Their entrepreneurial attitude also contributes to a great deal of their success. They’re more interested in understanding our vision and helping us achieve it than in abiding by a rigid process. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

Because our projects have been inherently iterative and constructive, it’s difficult to say there was any one thing they could’ve done better. Every small issue we’ve had has been addressed and corrected in the moment, but there have been no substantial mistakes.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be honest and transparent about your expectations from day one. Be willing to co-create with them rather than letting the full responsibility fall on them to realize your vision, and you’ll have more success than you imagined.
