The scope of work for the web build project involved Ordinary Media taking over from a previous agency that had completed the initial design. The project focused on developing a highly functional and user-friendly WordPress website, leveraging the platform's robust ecosystem to ensure flexibility and ease of content management.

Ordinary Media was responsible for integrating and optimising approximately 45 custom components, enhancing both their design and functionality to improve the overall user experience. The team worked closely with stakeholders, incorporating feedback and performing thorough quality assurance and testing to deliver a polished, high-quality product. The website was successfully launched in January after further refinements were made to ensure optimal performance.

Ordinary Media demonstrated effective and adaptable project management throughout the web build process. They maintained clear and consistent communication, regularly updating us on progress and working closely with our team to incorporate feedback.

While the project timeline extended beyond the original estimate, this was largely due to the number of stakeholders involved on our end and the need to finalise some of the on-site copy, which was delayed as we awaited input from our science team.

Despite these challenges, Ordinary Media remained responsive to our needs and adjusted their approach as necessary to ensure that the final deliverable met our expectations. Their flexibility and commitment to delivering a high-quality product were evident throughout the process.

While our experience with Ordinary Media has been overwhelmingly positive, one area for potential improvement could be further enhancing the initial project timeline estimation process. Given the complexities and the number of stakeholders involved on our end, a more flexible timeline with built-in contingencies might have helped set more accurate expectations from the outset.

That said, their adaptability and commitment to delivering a high-quality product more than compensated for any delays, and we truly appreciated their responsiveness and collaborative approach throughout the project.
