OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire onezap, and what were your goals?

For the past 20 years, we have been selling our products offline and we wanted to take our offline process online and start selling by having our own e-commerce platform that our customers and sales team can use.

How did you select onezap and what were the deciding factors?

We searched online for web developers and shortlisted 5. When we interviewed them, we chose them based on their past projects and their design expertise.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

We had a kickoff meeting to discuss our goals and objectives. From there, the team delivered the mockups and wireframes for our site which ran by management to approve. After a few iterations, the team designed and developed the new store, incorporating a payment processing feature.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

A project manager was our point of contact throughout the project. There were 2 UX designers, 4 Backend developers, 2 Frontend developers, 1 business analyst, and 1 DevOps engineer.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

After launching our platform, we saw a 90% increase in traffic, and our sales doubled month over month. Customers love the updated design. The product pages are easier to navigate, and users can now pay by credit card. Also, our sales team finds the platform really easy to use and saves them a lot of visits to the customer site as they just can log in and see the customer's activity and communicate with them about any orders.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timelines.

We had daily stand-ups with their project manager, who communicated with the rest of the team. If there were any delays, they let us know ahead of time so that we could prepare. We used Slack, Jira, and GitHub to coordinate, and they worked well with our team.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They have a lot of experience building robust e-commerce websites. Their team was patient enough to teach us about the ways to use our platform and they were responsive to our needs.
