I’m the founder of a company that makes and sells perfumes.

What challenge were you trying to address with Onestopcode?

We had over 100 fragrances, but almost everyone bought just one bottle at $39. That wasn’t a business we could grow. I needed the site to get people to buy sets instead of single bottles without it feeling pushy.The other problem was that customers often didn’t know what they wanted with fragrance. You couldn’t smell anything online. I needed more than one way for people to browse — by mood, by note, by set, or whatever made sense to them.Additionally, I wanted to build an email list properly, not just collect addresses with a pop-up.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Onestopcode built the whole store from scratch on WooCommerce. Everything was custom-made; they didn’t use a template.The main feature was the kit builder. There was a tray that followed you around the site, so whether you were browsing by mood, by note, by set, or just in the shop, everything you picked landed in the same place. The price worked itself out as you added bottles — four full sizes and four minis came to $99 instead of $149, and you entered your email to unlock that.Onestopcode also set it up so customers could build their own bundles, name them, and put them on a public page for other people to buy. That wasn’t something I asked for; it came out of the conversation.Moreover, product pages were properly designed rather than just a photo and a price. The whole thing still loaded fast on a phone, which surprised me given how much was going on.

We worked together from June to September 2026.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

It was still early, and the site hadn’t been live long, so I couldn’t give you big numbers yet. However, the kit was now what people were buying. Before, it was almost always one bottle at $39, and that was it. Now, the kit was the thing customers landed on, and the email list was actually growing because you needed to enter your email to get the discount.The other difference was that the site didn’t feel like a shop anymore. It felt like a brand. That was hard to put a number on, but it was the reason I was happy with it.Before the new site, there was no kit, so every order was a single bottle. Now, roughly 60% of orders were kits. Moreover, the average order value and email sign-up rate increased by 60%.

How did Onestopcode perform from a project management standpoint?

Communication via in-person meetings, email, and messages was direct, which I appreciated. I talked to the person who was actually building the site, not an account manager passing messages along. When I asked for a change, I usually saw it the same day rather than waiting for a sprint or whatever.Moreover, timelines were realistic from the start. Onestopcode told me what was achievable and what wasn’t rather than agreeing to everything and then slipping.I could see progress in a browser as it was being built, so I was never waiting on a presentation to find out where things were.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Onestopcode understood the actual business problem, not just the design brief. I came in wanting a nicer-looking store. What I got was someone telling me the real issue was that nobody had a reason to buy a second bottle and then building around that.The customer bundles thing was a good example. I never asked for it. It came out of a conversation about how people shopped for fragrance. Now, customers were building their own sets and putting them on the site for other people to buy. That wasn’t something I would have thought to ask for.Additionally, everything was custom-made. There was no template or page builder. I didn’t fully understand why that mattered until I saw how fast it loaded compared to what we had.

Is there anything they could have done differently or better?

Everything was perfect.

Onestopcode built our website from scratch using custom WooCommerce. They also handled workshops, corporate bookings, gift cards, and bottles through one checkout. The team set up products with different sizes and pricing and optimized the site to be fast on phones. Onestopcode also worked on SEO to get our catalog into Google Shopping. Moreover, they set up the site so our team could update products without calling them. The team provided ongoing marketing services, including social media, email campaigns, paid ads, and branding.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We used to take almost every workshop booking through Instagram DMs or over the phone. Now, around 80% of bookings come through the site on their own. Our organic traffic is up roughly 95% since the launch, and the full catalog is live in Google Shopping, which we had no presence in before. I can also add and update products myself now without calling anyone, which I couldn't do before.

How did Onestopcode perform from a project management standpoint?

Onestopcode always delivered on time. We communicated through in-person meetings, virtual meetings, and emails or messaging apps.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I always spoke to the person actually building the site. There was no account manager passing messages along. When I asked for a change, they made it instead of adding it to a queue.Moreover, they said no to some of my requests. I asked for a few features that would have slowed the site down or complicated the checkout. Instead of building them and taking the money, Onestopcode explained why it was a bad idea and suggested something simpler. That wasn't what I expected from an agency.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Everything was done properly.
