What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The website refresh has received great feedback from clients and collaborators alike. Our users have commented on a noticeably improved experience across the board, highlighting that information is much easier to find and that projects are displayed more prominently. As a result, we’ve seen an increase in traffic and higher levels of engagement.

Since transitioning to Webflow, maintaining and updating the site has become a breeze. Our routine content updates are now managed exclusively by our internal team, with minimal friction, virtually eliminating the need for external support. This change has streamlined website management and significantly reduced ongoing maintenance costs.

We’ve been thrilled with the results and have seen improvements in both usability and overall user experience.

OPO is very responsive. They had a project manager assigned and several tools available for us to reach out to them when needed. They always followed up with deliverables and were often ahead of schedule. They kept us on task to meet our deadline yet were flexible when we needed to be. They were professional and provided intelligent recommendations to ensure our final app would be successful.

They melded right into our team and felt like they were part of our team. They always came to meetings with a positive attitude and willingness to help us succeed. They never missed a deadline and often delivered ahead of schedule.

The OPO team has a very effective working model and they were humble enough to have a wrap-up meeting with us asking for feedback and opportunities to improve so overall I would say they are doing everything right. I'd hire them again for the next project.

I’m one of the co-founders and a co-CEO of a company in the automotive sector. We run a platform that enables people to find the most suitable electric vehicle for them based on points like their lifestyle and budget.

We hired Amen for their development services.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Amen has built our platform and handled its website design and UI elements from scratch. Our team has provided the creative designs, and Amen does everything else using Laravel.

What is the team composition?

I’m in contact with 2–3 people, though many people have worked behind the scenes. One of them is the CEO, and the other person has done the backend work. 

How did you come to work with Amen?

We put our job posting on Upwork, interviewed teams, and looked at their portfolios. Our team found Amen to be the most suitable team for this project because they truly understood what we wanted. They also offered a full package for things we’d otherwise have to outsource. This would make everything smoother for us, so we hired them. 

How much have you invested with them?

The initial project cost around $30,000. If we include the maintenance and upgrade we requested after that, the total cost is around $50,000–$60,000. 

What is the status of this engagement?

The project lasted from March-June 2022. However, the engagement is technically ongoing; they’ve finished the website, but we stay in touch with them for maintenance and upgrades.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Our metrics vary because we run multiple campaigns at the same time. Generally, we get around 2,000 clicks from people who go through the entire website. People don’t just open and close the website; they fully utilize it.

How did Amen perform from a project management standpoint?

Amen has met deadlines; they’ve provided realistic timelines. To manage the engagement, they use the built-in Upwork management platform. For communication, we have weekly catch-up meetings. Besides that, we mainly use Upwork — everything communicated between our teams is saved there for future reference. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Many companies have cookie-cutter portfolios that they try to fit us in, while Amen offers a truly personalized and tailored solution to our needs. On top of that, they’re knowledgeable about everything we ask them. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

We could have faster deadlines. Nonetheless, their deadlines have been realistic, and everything else has been great. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Outline your goals for the project, including its details. Once you do this on your end, communicating with Amen will be much easier. Your communication becomes more effective if your ideas are laid out in a tangible format as you present them to the team. This also helps their resources create something close to what you have in mind.

I'm a co-founder and CEO of Etlworks LLC. Eltworks LLC is a data integration company. Etlworks is a modern, cloud-first, any-to-any data integration platform that scales with the business.

For what projects/services did your company hire Amen, and what were your goals?

Our website was created 6 years ago using a stock Bootstrap template and become outdated. Also, the load time was not up to the modern standards. We needed a complete redesign using unique but simple design language.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We posted a job on several freelance sites, including Upwork. We interviewed at least 5 companies and ended up signing a contract with Amen (Alex). The main deciding factor was the publicly available portfolio, which we liked a lot. I was also impressed with the communication speed.

Initially, after reviewing the suggested milestones we ordered a site redesign only. After receiving a first draft (which we liked a lot), which was delivered as a set of screens in Figma we decided to order the front-end as well. Basically a complete package. Amen did a very good job completing a design part for desktop and mobile form factors and then quickly delivered custom images, HTML, and CSS code. They did a few tweaks and performance improvements for us.

Overall it was a very smooth and pleasant experience. The code was delivered on Friday and we were up and running live by Monday.

We communicated with Alex only but it was clear from the start that multiple designers and front-end developers were working on this project.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

It is too early but we already saw a 30% increase in traffic to our main web property. It also set us up well for upcoming marketing campaigns.

We used Upwork's built-in messaging for communications. The communications were direct and instant. We only needed a few meetings, and they completed the project within the agreed timeframe.

We were most impressed with the design and coding skills. We also liked how Alex was always proactive when communicating with us.

We went a bit over the original budget but it is always expected so not a big deal.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

OnePlusOne Solutions has been able to fill the roles we need and do a great job. Their completed tasks include designing and building key components of the user interface and API endpoints to provide functionality to the order portal. Users can place orders through this portal to be fulfilled by the supply chain management process. The development has yielded a more responsive and user-friendly interface. Users have reported that the interface is more state-of-the-art and covers more use cases than the previous system. 

How did OnePlusOne Solutions perform from a project management standpoint?

OnePlusOne Solutions' project management is great. They deliver on time and respond well to our needs. Our primary means of communication is via Slack and Google Meet.

Our Shopify website needed to be taken to the next level, and One Plus One Solutions did that. We hired this team to design a brand-new Shopify storefront that met our vision. Now we can roll out our store to the Chronotek clients with pride.

We went to UpWork to find web developers, and many replied to our job posting. Still, as soon as we began interviewing and communicating with Alex, we knew the One Plus One solutions team would fit the job perfectly. Their portfolio is impressive, and their work has lived up to their stellar reviews.

First, we reviewed our vision and what we needed in our store. We started with designing the logo to establish the brand's vision better. After that, they delivered a UX design for the home page. After discussing alterations and enhancements, they quickly produced a UI design.

They also worked with us on creating our physical product (printed tiles). The creative process has been straightforward and outstanding. They built us a contact form and an FAQ page along with our homepage.

I worked mainly with Alex Shpylovyi through UpWork. He responded quickly to any questions, concerns, thoughts, demands, wants, or needs. I know at least one contact was working behind the scenes to implement the designs into our Shopify site.

We have not launched our storefront yet. If the excitement in our team could be measured, it would be through the roof.
