I’m the husband of the author of a children’s book.

What challenge were you trying to address with Octopix Studio?

We were working directly with Amazon to publish this book, but we weren’t satisfied with the illustrations. Therefore, we decided to find someone else to help us design my wife's book cover and illustrations.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Octopix Studio has helped us design illustrations and typesetting for our book, as well as its cover. My wife initially provided a rough sketch of what she wanted, and Octopix Studio has been modifying it. We’ve gone through a couple of iterations to get to the final product.

What is the team composition?

We only work with Monica.

How did you come to work with Octopix Studio?

I found Monica on Upwork. At the time, we didn't know she had a company.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent around $700.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in October 2024, and the engagement is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Octopix Studio is doing amazing work for us, and we’re very satisfied. Compared to our past experience with Amazon, Octopix Studio is a good deal. Monica is very dedicated and comes up with the sketches quickly.

How did Octopix Studio perform from a project management standpoint?

Monica works very quickly and is on time, hitting our targets. She has delivered according to the timeline we initially planned, and we're very happy about that. We communicate via WhatsApp.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We’re impressed with the amount of time it has taken Monica to come up with the sketches.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don’t think there’s anything Octopix Studio can improve on — they’re doing pretty well.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Have a clear idea of what you want. If you know what you want, it’s much easier for the illustrator to come up with something.
