Ochi Design was recommended to us by our friend and their client. At that time, we were talking to several companies and agencies to find the one that could support us in the rebranding process. We were looking for a company who can understand our vision and execute it flawlessly. From the very first meeting, we noticed that Ochi was on another level. First impression - super professional. We liked their approach, way of thinking, and the questions they asked to really understand gocomo as a brand, what do we do and what makes us unique. 
Also, from a business perspective and price, they were really compelling, especially compared to what we saw in the market for presentation design and branding services. Our decision was definitely influenced by both the professional and personal aspects. We enjoyed the conversation, the consultation and their strategy, and we had a click. 
We believe that when you go into a creative process, it's important to have a connection with the person and the team in general. The process consisted of several stages: audit and research, stylescapes, production, and delivery. At each stage, we had a feedback session, basically deliverables that we discussed with the team and processed to the next.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

As a deliverable, we received: 

• Extensive brand book describing brand system in details and nuances, with practical guides on how to use. 
• Five new logos and subsidiary identities: the main one for the parent company and four others for the sub-companies. These logos match perfectly and showcase the company's structure and industry. 
• Social media assets and implication for internal use; these include templates for social media posts, icons & illustrations, curated photography collection, invoices, email footers, brand collateral, etc. 
• An easy-to-use and highly flexible presentation template that encompasses all the design systems in a very practical but beautiful way. All of these things have helped us take the company to a whole new level and ensure that everything is consistent, rhymes together, and just looks amazing.

The process was great; we had scheduled dates for regular updates from the team, and we also met on a regular basis to discuss the process, as Ochi Design were presenting each phase to us. If we were to describe our collaboration in just a few words, it would be structured, transparent, creative, and open-minded to feedback. 
The Ochi Design team always took what we were given, and we felt that they wanted to bring it to life as much as we did. These points made them unique, and their approach to the project is what we liked the most. We have already recommended Ochi Design to others, so we hope that this chain of recommendations won't end.

The most impressive thing that comes to mind is a high level of professionalism. I come from a creative industry as well, and I know for sure that, unfortunately, this is quite a rare thing. When we talked about timings, it was always spot on. Even when we were lacking in giving feedback and the timeline had to be postponed, the team was always transparent about every change. 
We appreciated that they always stood behind their promises and delivered what they committed to. We believe that it's the most important characteristic for a creative agency or a business partner. That's one of the coolest things besides the creativity (the quality of the product is superb), and we value it a lot.

The primary goal was to produce a highly effective pitch deck for one of our clients. It had to entice potential investors to the startup, showcase the brand’s solution, and drive conversation further. Apart from that, the client wanted to revamp the existing brand identity since it was clear that the offer would benefit from a better visual foundation.

We were looking for experts to level up our partnership presentation. We found Ochi Design's on Dribbble and were particularly impressed by their ability to distill intricate subjects into straightforward narratives, which made Ochi Design our top choice. 

We were talking to a few other groups, but we decided to go with Ochi Design based on a combination of two things: the ability to work with complex narratives and being able to have the sales angle to that. But then also for the graphics perspective, which was excellent and nuanced. Overall, it seemed like it was going to be a very good fit.

Our work with Ochi Design led to a functional pitch deck that has already been effective. The process also made us more aware of our client profiles and presentation needs. I personally found my recent presentation easier to execute with this new deck. 

We initially chose Ochi Design for their ability to simplify complex topics and their quality graphics. Compared to other standard solutions, they offered something a bit more advanced. As an outcome of our collaboration we got a pitch deck presentation that has already proven its effectiveness on one of our pitches. We valued Ochi Design's hands-on, family-business approach which brought a level of care and responsiveness that's often missing elsewhere. They not only dig deep to understand our project but also our industry, offering custom solutions to our specific needs. And often when you go through these types of exercises with other agencies you never know what you're getting, but it always felt like we were getting something tangible yet, which is pretty valuable. And another huge plus was Ochi Design's super, super responsiveness.

It ended up getting to the place we needed to anyway, but. I think that's just the one thing that we could allocate more time for some parts. But it’s clear that it has to be a bit dynamic to make sure it happens and not becomes infinite. Ideally, we would love for it be more flexible for the European timezones. So that we can have more flexibility in terms of planning our own schedules and have some locked in advance. But for the most part, everything went, went really well considered.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

Ochi Design was recommended by one of our first investors. They have worked with Ochi Design before and were very happy with their results. Ochi Design's website and their flexibility to fit our expectations into their pipeline convinced us.

Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.

We hired Ochi Design to produce a basic brand identity including a logo as well as a pitch deck for our start-up. Ochi Design ran an efficient two-week process that covered our needs while keeping a plausible budget. It consisted of three main parts: An orientation and brand identity workshop, an option-based brand design selection and a presentation design review. The brand identity workshop enabled us to explain the vision and "brand feel" of our start-up to Ochi in a very effective way. It put us on the same page in terms of the direction we would like to take with the design by orienting our brand relative to innovation examplary brands that Ochi Design researched. Based on the workshop, Ochi designed 4 brand identity options from which we ultimately chose one and which was lightly adjusted based on our feedback. Based on this design, Ochi then proceded to design our pitch deck with minimal input. We provided a notion page with text bullet points and rough design and visualisation ideas where necessary which Ochi turned into a striking presentation

Feedback from potential clients and business angels has been very positive throughout. The design and pitch deck that their created stand out and really drew interest from potential partners. It really helps us to be proud of our deck in each pitch. Even though we are already experienced when it comes to slide design, we could not have reached this level without the work of Ochi Design.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Ochi ran a lean but effective workflow that presented us with the opportunity to have an interactive design process that responded to our brand and design ideas but considered our limited budget at the same time. The reasoning behind every design decision was made transparent to us which enabled us to provide effective feedback back to Ochi.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

We were surprised by the accuracy with which Ochi Design nailed the overall design language that perfectly aligned with our personal preferences and the vision that we have for our young company.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

With regards to PPT & Brand Design: It would have been great to receive a color palette that corresponds to the corporate identity that was laid out in the visuals of our pitch deck though we understand that this may not be included in our limited budget. With regards to project management & communication: The team could be even more transparent on the risks of a delay in the process and where these typically occur; to proactively think for their clients when to expect a finalised result.

We found a few companies that specialized in pitch deck re-design and interviewed all 3. We chose OCHI presentation design because we felt their understanding of our business. The express requirements we were looking for was a good match for us.

The scope included a number of initial Zoom meetings between OCHI and our executive team to narrow down the requirements and essentially ideate what was missing from our existing deck.

We provided the content by way of an online questionnaire developed by OCHI and also provided access to a library of our company asset including previous decks, videos, UX/UI designs, competitor analysis, intel from our target investor list - what they are looking for when investing as an example.

From there, the first iterations of the new deck were produced by OCHI and started the feedback process. The process was handled from start to finish with a milestone dynamic brief via Notion which was handy to track progress and the delivery of the deck in Google slides which allowed easy commentary for consideration between OCHI and our business.

Our team consisted of myself, the COO and CFO as primary contacts and we shared it amongst our board advisors for further feedback. We dealt with Ihor from OCHI.

The outcomes from the deck were positive, the first 5 slides nailed what our product was all about. Since the delivery in February, we have had to modify the deck and update content to better align with the different investors we are in discussions with. We are still in "capital raising" mode, so I can't share any further details at this stage.

I am the CFO of Workiz, a startup software company in field-service management that only serves US clients. Plumbers, locksmiths, electricians, HVAC, and other trade professions use our CRM and communication system to manage their business.

My company already had a sales presentation, but it was not very professional. We needed a company to build straightforward, professional employee onboarding and sales presentation material for us.

OCHI developed an employee onboarding presentation for my company. My company provided OCHI with the onboarding presentation we already had in Google Sheets, and they transformed that information into a professional presentation we can show to future employees. 

We’re also about to start a second project with them focused on our sales presentations.

We needed a certain level of professionalism in our presentations, and OCHI provided us with that. When I showed our management and HR teams the presentation OCHI developed, they were amazed — the final product was exactly what we needed to create a better experience for new employees. 

How did OCHI presentation design perform from a project management standpoint?

Throughout the initial project, OCHI was very organized and met our schedules. We generally communicated with them through Fiverr and occasionally met through Google Meet to discuss the results we wanted to achieve.

It is very easy to work with OCHI — their work on similar projects has given them the experience to create presentations that our audience can clearly understand.

My clients, are typically conducting a large scale capital raise ($6-10M) each. For all work OCHI has supported me in, I have heard nothing but braise for the work and outputs helping them raise that money more seamlessly.

Very effective. After each meeting, we assigned follow up meetings and booked it in on the spot. This gave me peace of mind that we would hit milestone timings that I convey to my clients.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Their design capabilities and developing a multi-dimensional brand with many layers. They look to elevate and simplify all communications which is integral when putting together a pitch deck or corporate presentation.

Is there any area for improvement or anything that could have been done differently?

I'm very happy with OCHI and working with Ihor and will continue to do so. The team was open to adapting ways of working.
