We first worked with novus team during an exploration phase. We talked over everything I wanted this app to include, how I wanted it to appear, and which process flows it would need over this three to four week process. It was a fascinating and useful phase. Novus team gave us an estimate following the discovery stage in case we wanted to proceed with them for the real app development. I stayed with them since, at that era, they had performed fairly well.

Thus far, they've performed admirably for us. I can't attest to the app's outcomes as it isn't yet online. We started with the discovery stage which lasted about 2 weeks. These guys work within Agile model development so we participated in each iteration. We needed a marketplace which allows users to upload video and music files so Novus developed the perfect product for us. We were reviewing any ethereum-like chain and Novus recommended Polygon so it brought us a reduction in spendings afterwards.

Main tasks were to deliver a white label solution like Opensea or Rarible marketplaces with all necessary functions like NFT card,Marketplace platform itself, NFT Creating,User profile page and Admin panel.

I’m the CEO of Teisingas Kodas, a technology consulting company with two team members.

What challenge were you trying to address with Novus Team?

We collaborated with Novus Team and outsourced work to them related to our development projects. We’ve never had internal developers, so we’ve always relied on outsourced development teams like theirs.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Novus Team provided us with technical and business consulting, as well as custom software development. When the project started, we already had a vision of what we wanted to build. My partner is a strong technical person, so he had the vision from a technical solution perspective, whereas I had the vision from a business perspective. Thus, we first consulted with Novus Team to find the right technical solutions to build our product.

The product is a software system for non-governmental organizations that serves as an aggregator and distributor of funds. This system generates a social index that speaks about the organization’s inputs into the common good. Users cannot extract any value out of the social credits they’re receiving, but they can re-dedicate them to another person or donate them to a non-governmental organization. 

To build this product, my partner first had various conversations with Novus Team about the technical solutions, and they offered various options to address the pain points they saw within our product. Moreover, Novus Team also did technical research so that they could build a competitive product.

The alternative solutions that Novus Team gave us included how to improve payments using blockchain technology. Although we still have to build a blockchain solution seamless enough for clients so that they don’t feel like they’re using blockchain technology at all, Novus Team also came up with that solution.

Throughout the consulting phase, Novus Team helped us design the UI/UX for the product. We spent an entire month explaining the whole idea in detail, and during that time, they designed the UI and user stories. The documentation was done on the fly while we created the user stories. As for the technology stack, they used Figma for the designs and Django and React for software development.

We worked with a project lead, a backend developer, two frontend developers, and a designer from Novus Team.

We found them through a referral. We had worked on a variety of projects for our clients, but when we decided to build our own product, we looked at our portfolio. We have a portfolio of about 50 companies that we used to develop projects with. We liked Novus Team the most because they were always fast and on time. Additionally, they had a no-nonsense approach that we really liked, and they were always professional. When our project arose, we went directly with them.

We spent around €60,000–€70,000 (approximately $65,000–$75,000 USD).

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together on this project on September 2022. However, the project was paused in December 2022 when we ran out of money because we separated from one of our investors. Once we have more funds, we’ll continue the project.

Novus Team helped us advance on the development of our product and contributed to it by adding value to it in every way they could so that the project could move forward. Moreover, the quality of their work was very good.

Novus Team delivered everything on time and helped us plan ahead, which we really liked. Whenever something wouldn’t meet the deadline, they let us know in advance instead of waiting until the last minute. As for communication, we used Telegram, Google Meet, and email. Moreover, they used GitHub and Jira for project management.

We wanted to develop set of applications for registration of rights, versioning and verification of digital 3D models of details and constructions. Using blockchain as an environment for transparent and immutable information storage.

They developed plugin which protects files from unauthorized access and tracks every interaction with the file.

We selected Novus Team as our vendor for this project because of their fantastic portfolio and great communication from our first introduction call. Novus Team was also recommended to us by previous client who is really satisfied by blockchain services they provided.

We needed to find a company with blockchain technology experience that could develop a fully-functioning blockchain product in few months .

The first step of the project was the discovery stage which included feature listing, developing wireframes, and creating user stories. The next step was creating the design which was done with a software known as Figma.

We participated in all the processes and received detailed reports on the work done every two weeks The goal was to reduce technical delays in the transfer of rights to any engineering structures to another company (speed up the process)

The main tasks were:

1. fixation of all iterations of the development of individual parts by engineers and information about what exactly this engineer was developing this detail and how much time he spent on it
2. integration with archicad

We used Slack for most communication but also Google Meet meetings to discuss the projects. Communication between our teams is great — they're available whenever we need them. And we used 7Pace plugin in Azure to track and manage tasks completion times.

The set of applications was successfully built in 3 months and it went live on the scheduled date with full functionality.The team was supporting and helping with our platform for 4 months after the release

I’m the executive director of HamiApp, a company providing services for animal and pet owners in Central Europe. Our app allows users to easily find places like veterinaries, pet-friendly cafes, pet-friendly shops, and more. What was the scope of their involvement?

Novus Team has helped us develop the MVP of our mobile app, as well as a website directly linked to the app. Currently, we’re working on decentralizing the information-storage process by using blockchain technologies. As for the technology stack, we’ve used React, Node.js, and Ruby on Rails for development, as well as NEAR Protocol and Neo as blockchain technologies.

From the very beginning, our idea was to use blockchain technologies. However, given our startup condition, we first needed an MVP to show potential investors and venture capitalists how our product would work. Therefore, we first had a discovery phase, where we discussed our idea with Novus Team, and they provided me with very qualified input.

We use Jira and Miro for project management and email for communication. Additionally, Novus Team has set up a server in Discord that operates 24/7 for support, where I can write down any issue. That server has been very convenient for me.
