Introduce your business and what you do there.

I am the founder and president of Lowen Group, a mortgage brokerage. Located in Burlington, Ontario, we have been in business for about 12 years.

What challenge were you trying to address with Nova?

We had an outdated website that we were looking to update.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Nova developed and designed a new website for us from scratch. First, their team interviews myself and my staff to get an understanding of who we are. They also identified eight individual types of clients, what their niches would be, and what types of products and services we could offer to them. Nova built pages that educate them on those.

The team also integrated new technology, including a mortgage application software. They also wrote and published content on the site for us and built a Q & A page. Our next step will be to begin SEO and Google AdWord campaigns.

What is the team composition?

I primarily worked with Johnny (Founder & CEO, Nova). He also brought in SEO and PPC partners. 

How did you come to work with Nova?

Johnny had done some work with the company whose mortgage application software we use. I mentioned to him that we needed a new website just as he was leaving to start his own company, so it was good timing.

How much have you invested with them?

We have invested about $12,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

Our engagement ran from October–December 2019.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We have seen an increase in leads from organic traffic since completing the website. Users complete our full application now, actually going through the site, watching our video and answering the Q & A. The new site is a substantial improvement.

How did Nova perform from a project management standpoint?

Nova does a great job of managing projects. Our teams used Trello and Zoom to communicated, sharing boards and having conversations. They are incredibly flexible about when we talk, and we would often communicate in the evenings or even on the weekends. They really accommodated my needs, and I was grateful for that. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

I was amazed at how much time Nova invested in my project before even beginning to create the website. They got to know our goals and our vision to make sure they knew the best path forward. Johnny always took me and my team’s suggestions to heart, making sure the site reflected our needs. The solution really resonated with the input we provided him with. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

The only area we struggled with was the payment process because we are an international client. Johnny was truly professional and continued to work even though we couldn’t pay him the way he was hoping for. We eventually figured it out, but I was impressed by his willingness to continue working while we worked out a solution.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Set up a discovery call. Johnny sets expectations and always meets them. I’d encourage anyone to book a call and discuss the services you are looking for to see if he can fill them.

I have been a Mortgage Agent servicing my clients in all aspects of Mortgage financing for the past 12 years, I started my career in the financial service industry with one of Canada major financial institutions 25 years ago, that experience and expertise and lead me to my career as a Mortgage Agent.

Assisting my services offer using the latest technology available to assist my clients with ease when sourcing a mortgage to assist my clients towards financial wellbeing with Confidence, from start to finish.

For agent/brokers that are embracing these technologies they too have the opportunity to utilize Nova's services. My experience working with Johnny has been excellent and paramount to my business, he is a rare gem!

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

For those Mortgage agent/brokers that are embracing these technologies they too have the opportunity to utilize Johnny’s services. My experience working with Johnny has been excellent and paramount to my business, he is a rare gem! I just received notice from my brokerage that my personal volumes earned me an award with an impressive 90% growth in my business doubling my volumes in the past year, I was the second highest in overall growth percentage year over year in the company. In my opinion all agents/brokers would benefit from working with Johnny. I would encourage you to have a call with him so can go into greater details as to his services with him directly. Agent/Brokers that do not have the time for set up or more importantly do not have the technical expertise to set up all integrations with out challenges, can work with him as I did. (both time and not having the correct technical expertise, were my reasoning and desire to work with Johnny) Johnny and I have plans to work together 2020! I am looking forward to what the New Year will bring!
