kodet.io is a European software development studio, founded in 2015, that builds and stays responsible for complex software long after launch. Rather than one-off delivery, we operate as a long-term technical partner — a small, senior team of engineers who take ownership of a problem, not just a spec.

Our core focus is two areas:

E-commerce & composable commerce: platforms built for complex catalogues, multi-store operations, and high traffic, tailored to how a retailer's business actually runs rather than forced into an off-the-shelf template. We've run the platform for a major Swiss pharmaceutical retailer since 2018, serving millions of monthly customers.

Enterprise information systems: product information, digital asset, and master data management systems that unify data across ERP, CRM, and marketing platforms, plus custom backend development for API platforms and data pipelines.

Beyond that, we take on tailor-made software wherever deep technical discipline matters — including a smaller amount of embedded and safety-critical work, such as automated testing platforms for industrial and automotive hardware. It's a minor part of what we do, but the same rigor — precise requirements, thorough testing, clear documentation — carries over into every commerce and enterprise project we deliver.

We typically work with mid-market and enterprise clients directly, and with agencies and software companies who need specialist engineering capacity without adding fixed headcount. Engagements range from a single complex build to years of ongoing development and support.

We're not the biggest or the cheapest software firm. We're the team brought in when the problem is complex, the stakes are high, and failure isn't an option.
