Essential goals and requirements:

·       Recreate the suite of cognitive assessment games, retaining the underlying scientifically-validated structure of the three component games 

·       Produce new visual and user experience elements in line with the guiding principles and specific ideas generated during focus groups with participants with lived and living experiences of eating disorders and general mental health concerns

·       Contribute technical (game development) and creative (story and visual design) expertise to produce the new games, to enable user testing and evaluation, validation, and dissemination for use in research and clinical contexts to occur as soon as is practicable.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

• The project was delivered on-time and on-budget (completed May 2025)
• The new games were evaluated positively by a user panel (completed July 2025)
• The new games will be successfully validated in a large-scale research study (pending).

The team at NSG were incredibly responsive throughout the project, ensuring that the initial goals and objectives were met, and honing the product in response to user feedback and UAT outcomes. Their artistic and technical expertise allowed us to create something beautiful as well as functional, and they truly understood the co-designed objectives we were trying to achieve.  It was a pleasure to work with them at all stages of the project.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

There were significant constraints on this project that we (as clients) had to impose - I felt they were incredibly patient, flexible, and responsive, and made us feel that nothing was too much trouble. They took the time to really understand our unique needs and ensure they were addressed throughout the project. 

The art work and design were exemplary, and the work was produced to a technically high standard.

No, nothing.

Noble Steed were engaged to take the existing Unity/C# codebase for The Godfeather and optimise it for deployment to the Switch platform. Along the way, they performed an overall optimisation and refactoring of the game, as well as assisting with implementing localisation for 8 languages.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Working with Noble was a joy - the process of optimising the game and preparing it for release on the Switch store was extremely smooth, and at every stage the Noble Team were professional and generous with their assistance - both within and beyond the scope of work.

Noble were extremely responsive and reliable in terms of:

• Giving us everything we needed to prepare the game for release

The team's most impressive aspect, besides their capabilities and professionalism, is how generous they are. They dedicate time to explain their approach, co-development opportunities and their focus on sharing their knowledge and wisdom for the betterment of the developer community as a whole.

We honestly have no complaints. Hojo Studio plans to continue working with Noble Steed at every future opportunity.

No Moss needed a fresh solution to our online training as the previous game we played did not service our needs efficiently. We approached Noble Steed as we have seen the work they produce and trusted them to produce a creative solution that fits the brief.

We received feedback on the whole training, of which the game is a part of. The feedback was overall very positive, and any bugs or issues raised, were addressed promptly by the Noble Steed Team.

Yes. They delivered items on time, and I was updated on a daily basis at every stage of the development process. They were quick to respond to requests as well as fixes.

This project required some tweaks to the existing simulator display as well as adjustment and improvements to asset importing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The ChassisSim DIL simulator needed a bit of tweaking, particular the dash and European number formats, but the big scope of the work was improving the asset importing process and that went very well.
