NextScrum builds the custom software B2B companies reach for once off-the-shelf SaaS stops keeping up. We are a US-headquartered agency of 20 senior developers, based in Dallas with a global engineering team. Founded in 2018.

Engagements are fixed-price when scope is known, usually landing between $25K and $80K, and time-and-materials for discovery work. The work falls into six core areas plus two specialized ones.

Custom Shopify Plus. We rebuild themes that have hit performance ceilings, customize checkout for subscription and B2B ordering, integrate Shopify with existing ERP systems, and trim the app sprawl that creeps up on growing stores. Stores commonly cut several hundred to a couple thousand dollars a month in app fees after we go through the stack.

Custom HubSpot. CMS themes for marketing teams with engineers behind them, Operations Hub workflows that respect existing attribution, and clean integration with custom backends.

Custom platforms. Headless commerce, B2B marketplaces, and multi-tenant SaaS. These run 8 to 16 weeks, with a working prototype in front of the client inside the first 72 hours.

Internal tools. Admin panels and operational tooling for teams that have pushed past Retool or Forest Admin, with real audit logging, SSO, and role-based access.

AI features integration. We bring Claude, OpenAI, and Gemini into products that already exist: retrieval systems, agents, evaluation harnesses for model upgrades, and cost controls that keep production AI features on budget.

AI Ops consulting. Workflow automation, vector database selection, MCP servers, and the guardrails that make agentic systems safe to ship.

Two specialized lines round this out: Lean WordPress Care, an audit plus lean rebuild plus ongoing security maintenance, and AI Code Audit, an honest read on an inherited codebase.

How we work: mutual NDAs, deployment to the client's own environment, senior engineers who stay from kickoff to final commit, and no anonymous subcontractors.
