Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m a consultant in the project and program management space. I typically work on network infrastructure programs at scale.

What challenge were you trying to address with Netomate PTY LTD?
We needed a company that could provide network development engineering and automation services.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?
When I was at AWS, I worked on a global network scaling program. This program involved remediating legacy networks and installing new network hardware and cabling across 300 locations. With that much work at scale, we had to create low-level designs that informed the teams on the ground on how to cable up and install the equipment. This was originally a very manual process, so we asked Netomate PTY LTD to analyze how they could automate these processes.

Netomate PTY LTD then developed various tools and automation processes from scratch to limit the time an engineer would spend generating low-level designs. They spent time analyzing and understanding those manual processes and identifying areas for improvement from an automation perspective. They then designed and developed automation tools using internal bespoke tools and Python.

Give them the autonomy they need to perform the analysis required so that they understand where they can add value. It’s simple enough to document a requirement, but giving them the brevity to get in there and perform the analysis is key.
