Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the founder and producer of RTV Media Incorporated. We provide services for ethnic culture communities in Canada including video production, marketing, communications, and we also run nonprofit projects for the community. We also provide the content to broadcasters for local channels in foreign languages.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with NetLabCS?

One of the projects we had was a website and an interactive platform about a Russian artist. We wanted to give the community a chance to consume art virtually during the pandemic.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We first provided them with the technical list of tasks and a proposal explaining what we were looking for and needed for this project. They suggested a couple of ways to implement this project. 

They developed the site using WordPress, and I prepared some written articles and information for the platform such as the information about the artist. Based on that, they developed a couple of different options for the website and templates for how it could look. We chose one and we started the project.

They delivered the website and platform, and they helped us implement it with interactive buttons.

What is the team composition?

I personally worked with Dmitry (CEO). I know that he has a larger team but he was the direct contact for this project.

How did you come to work with NetLabCS?

We usually post projects on different platforms such as Indeed and Upwork. We found NetLabCS on Upwork. They were one of the companies that contacted us. We went through their portfolio and we decided to cooperate with them especially because they speak Russian, and this project was about a Russian artist. 

How much have you invested in them?

We paid $6,000 for this project.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started collaborating with them in February 2020, and we finished the project in March 2020. It took a month to develop and implement the project.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

I run multiple organizations here in Canada and have dealt with a lot of developers. I can say that I am definitely satisfied with their service. They were really prepared and worked really fast. They were so focused on the project and they also followed all of the details and information provided by us. It was really helpful. 

They also gave us some suggestions for the development which helped us improve the quality of the platform. From my experience, the guys at NetLabCS have the expertise and they also suggested ways to implement the interactive buttons on the platform, how to make it more attractive, not just for adults but also for kids and teens. They really gave us some great suggestions.

How did NetLabCS perform from a project management standpoint?

We mostly used WhatsApp. We also communicated through Upwork, but it was much easier to communicate through WhatsApp. We were in contact every couple of days. We also scheduled our weekly meetings on Fridays. I use Trello to manage my projects.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I think that their strength is their ability to meet deadlines as well as their creativity.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Based on this project, I wouldn’t say that they have any weaknesses. I’m satisfied with the collaboration with them. I’m planning to collaborate with them on other projects. They are able to work independently, they know what they are doing, and they don’t need supervision. They’re really helpful.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Don’t hesitate to reach out to them. They are pretty flexible and are open to any creative ideas. If you have an idea and don’t know how to implement it, I would definitely recommend contacting this organization. The team will be able to help you develop and implement it no matter how complicated it could be. They are really helpful and they are experts for sure.

I’m the project manager at the Library for Foreign Literature in Moscow.

What challenge were you trying to address with NetLabCS?

We had an idea to have a project dedicated to the anniversary of victory day. We were looking for a company that could do it for us.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We collect history from the national libraries around Russia and other countries. In our project, around six countries participated. NetLabCS designed and developed our website. We gave them the history and text for it and they put it on the site; they did everything. The site is ready and we’re growing. We still continue to put small stories on the website and we’re still working with them.

What is the team composition?

There are 3-4 people. There’s the CEO, the designer, and the content manager. Sometimes we work with two content managers.

How did you come to work with NetLabCS?

I had a project with them in my previous job and I was happy with their work. We also staged a competition between three other companies and they won because of their design and the price was better than those of the others.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent $10,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in November 2019 and the work is ongoing.

I like the website and our team is happy with it.

How did NetLabCS perform from a project management standpoint?

We communicate mostly by phone, email, and Telegram. They’re perfect with scheduling and meeting deadlines. We needed to be completely ready for an event and they did well.

What did you find most impressive about them?

It’s easy to communicate with them. They’re always on time and they know what they’re doing. I don’t have to control or explain every detail.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, everything is good right now.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Connect with them and tell them what you need. They will give you a nice offer with 2-3 design options. They’re really flexible to changes.

I’m the co-founder of QJob. It’s a marketplace for local professionals in Hungary to connect with residential users. We help people find plumbers, electricians, handymen, and so on.

What challenge were you trying to address with NetLabCS?

We hired them to develop our website and mobile application.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

They built our website on Ruby on Rails and our web application on Angular. Currently, they’re building the mobile app, and we’re looking to launch it by the end of this year.

What is the team composition?

I work with a project manager and two additional individuals.

How did you come to work with NetLabCS?

We chose them because they were the only vendor we found that worked with Ruby on Rails. We kept our search to neighboring countries.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve invested $50,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

Our ongoing engagement started in May 2019.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The solutions’ quality is great; we’re satisfied. The price-quality is also very good. We wouldn’t be able to find anything like that locally. The platforms work flawlessly. When we’ve had minor issues, they repair them quickly. We don’t have to pay additional fees for that, it’s all included in the base price.

How did NetLabCS perform from a project management standpoint?

We communicate twice a week and hold weekly online meetings. They meet our deadlines and follow the timeline. Their team is on-time. We use Trello and Slack.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re very responsive, flexible, and readily available. Any time we need their attention, they’re ready to respond. We feel that they’re in-house developers and not an outsourced company.

Are there any areas they could improve?

This is common for this type of project but we received the product on time but it was still raw material. It wasn’t properly tested and well-functioning. There were minor issues, but as I mentioned NetLabCS was responsive and took all the necessary steps to mitigate and correct these problems, all at no extra charge.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I’d absolutely recommend them.
