Neti Software has worked with the client for over eight years to produce many mobile apps. While the client does not have direct information on the success of the anti-counterfeiting apps yet, they are pleased with the level of personal interest Neti puts into each project.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.

BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

We are a hologram manufacturer based in India. The company provides hologram solutions for protecting products against counterfeiting. Apart from the holograms, our company also provides software tracking technologies which enable the end consumer to verify that the product being purchased is genuine.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Neti Software Services?

We needed to develop a mobile app which could scan product codes and verify their authenticity. We don't have any mobile app capabilities, so the work was outsourced to Neti Software.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We have worked on four projects with Neti Software Services, including our main iOS and Android applications. The apps provide barcode verification functionalities to end consumers. The information is sent to our servers, which then provide information about the products. The app also has supply chain management capabilities, collecting information from the manufacturing or supply chain sector, which can be used for generating reports for administrators and company stakeholders.

How did you come to work with Neti Software Services?

I have known Neti Software's group for eight years since we worked on our first project. I liked their services and approached them for the current work.

How much have you invested with Neti Software Services?

The cost of developing one mobile app was around 600,000 Indian rupees [USD $9,023].

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with Neti Software April 2016. We presented the first proof of concept for our hologram solution in June. The apps are live at the moment.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Could you share any evidence that would demonstrate the productivity, quality of work, or the impact of the engagement?

Our app is being used by the Indian government, with the purpose of tracking products from manufacturing to the end consumer. I don't have any specific information regarding its success since support is handled by another company.

How did Neti Software Services perform from a project management standpoint?

Neti Software has a very good team. They followed best practices in providing documentation and maintained our deadlines. The project management ran very well, with no issues at all.

What did you find most impressive about Neti Software Services?

Neti Software worked alongside our team since the initial documentation phase, taking part in client meetings as well. They provided higher knowledge and remained fully involved in the project.

No. I'm happy with Neti Software.
