They provide us with tools, logging in and out times for the employees they gave us, and a nice portal that walks us through all of that. In terms of communication, they adapted to our internal processes in Microsoft Teams.

NeoSOFT is helping us put together a website.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We have an existing Magento website that was put together by a previous developer, but it was constantly crashing due to a lot of loopholes left in it by that past agency. NeoSOFT is rebuilding it for us from scratch. 

We’re having the team develop the website in a way that it could provide people the ability to search specific makes and models of motorcycle parts. The team is also making it such that users could view diagrams and see the model numbers of all the parts in that diagram. This way our customers could easily look up the price of a certain component, add it to their cart, and check those out as a purchase from our company.

Years ago, I received an email from George (AVP Business) and kept it. When our website was continuously running into trouble, I reached out to them for help. I’d never worked with a company outside of the US so there was a bit of hesitation on my side, but I’m glad I took them up for the job. They helped keep the website up and running until we eventually decided to hire them for a full redevelopment.

I first reached out to them in July 2021, but they didn’t start putting this website together until around the end of October 2021. The project is still ongoing.

The team is still in the process of creating our website, but from what we can see of their daily progress, they are doing a fantastic job. Everything is beginning to work smoothly and the entire website is leaning towards becoming faster, more understandable, and more user-friendly.

NeoSOFT is very quick at answering our questions. We never have to wait a week to get a response from them; there is always someone who’s willing to answer us immediately. We usually communicate through email, and we also exchange snapshots and pictures to make sure that we understand what the other is talking about. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re super nice and wonderful people. We really enjoy working with them. Whenever we work with a  development team, we’re always left to wonder whether they’re going to address our issues, but we never get that with NeoSOFT. It feels like they’re right in our office, working with us.

No, there’s nothing they could do better. An improvement with asked, they've immediately implemented into the website.

Inspite of different time-zones (INDIA & KUWAIT) and different weekends, both Teams quickly adapted to the schedule and NEOSOFT team organized the development work & meetings periodically well in time. As we are not a developing company we needed a reliable technological partner to support the development of our application called Sinapsi. While the governance and the vision remained in house we were looking for the right outsourcing support which could flexibly fit our needs in terms of daily and long term scenarios.

After having had a call with different potential vendors, I have been impressed by the Neosoft structure and their speed in understanding my goals and in proposing the right solution in terms of balance between cost and performances.

Sinapsi is totally web-based application able to provide data and complex datasets management and linked digital resources. The innovative focus of Sinapsi is the creation of a synergy between the normative adaption to the standards (archival, librarian, historical/artistic, museum etc.) and the emerging needs of a data management required by document sector.

Sinapsi is provided with records which have been designed to meet the needs of the most widespread standards even if the user has the possibility to modify them and/or create independently.The extreme flexibility of the application is supported by the choice to use a graph database (neo4j). The usage of a graph database turns out to be very effective if you have to manage mixed patrimonies consisting of resources belonging to different domains.

This choice ensures the possibility to use different descriptive records “harmonizing” them in a single database which can guarantee the management of horizontal, hierarchical and semantic relationships. It provides a flexible and dynamic environment able to meet informative richness’ needs requested by researchers and professional and to define driving models and interchange processes with existing informative systems.

It enables the management of a multidisciplinary experimentation in a didactic environment, the technical and scientific cooperation, the creation of practical communities and the structuring of a platform for a long-term preservation. Sinapsi is made up of two main "modules", back-end and front-end which communicate throughout API. The project was (and is) to follow a rigid roadmap to implement Sinapsi's features in order to make it compatible with different scenario throughout the update and upgrade of the management part and search and visualization features.

Back-end part is written in Java while the front-end part is a mix of differente technologies.

Deliverables have been set in a provisional scenario and have been related to implementation of several new features so to technological update of the main modules. Any step and its deadline has been respected in terms of time and quality.

The management of the project and related deliverables is extremely direct, easy to learn and extremely flexible. Communication takes place through simple but complete tools according to the purpose for which they are intended. In this sense I would like to underline the competence and support by Yash (Business Development Executive) who was always ready to understand my needs and to manage any changes in direction.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I would say that the thing that most impressed me was the flexibility provided in adapting to switched needs deriving from requests from my customers which led to changes to the roadmap in terms of timing and execution methods. Another and very important feature, the immediate and correct understanding of the development documents provided by me.

This ability meant that the time dedicated to this fundamental part was minimal and well spent. In this sense I would like to underline the work of Gaurang in particular and Vikas, the two developers who supported me in this adventure.

For what is my experience I would say no as the basic characteristics of a definable service of high quality and reliability have been respected

We needed to quickly develop an iOS and Android app to complement our main software package. At the time, we thought the process would take no more than a year as we had already created the required Web Services and and designs ourselves, so decided against establishing a new Team just for this task.

We decided to outsource this development and then use our existing team to continue the development once the first release was completed.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We found NeoSOFT at a trade show in Sydney several years ago (I think 2017). There were many such vendors there, but NeoSOFT were the only ones I kept in-touch with. Right away I felt that they were extremely competent at what they did. I met with their directors several times over the years and spoke with representative (who would later become my account manager) often.

They were eager to work with us, and that impressed me too, as this went on for several years. Their desire to work with us never faded, and when we had our project come up, it was an easy decision.

We had already developed the app design, key functions, web services and databases but needed someone to build the initial iOS and Android app, as this was needed quickly and we estimated would take at least a year. We engaged NeoSOFT to provide us with a Xarmarin developer to build the app for us, we would continue to maintain the Web Services.

During the onboarding process, we outlined our requirements and explained what was expected from them and how the existing team would work with them. Because we had already shared our requirements with NeoSOFT, this was very easy as they had found the right developer for us.

To project manage, we use Trello Boards to record and track sprint tasks and Slack for communication (with the Trello linked). We pre-loaded the Trello boards with hundreds of tasks, so the developer could begin right away. We required the app to be developed in Xarmarin.

NeoSOFT provided 1 long term developer that works with our team, her responsibility has been to develop and maintain the app on both iOS and Android using Xarmarin. The team works seamlessly with each other and the results have been amazing.

The entire process was effortless and the app was delivered within the time frame we required. We were so impressed with how it all went, that it's turned into a fulltime engagement and the developer NeoSOFT supplied to us 3 years ago, has become a fulltime valuable member of our team. They're continuing to maintain the app for us, adding new features and functions daily.

This was the first time we tried outsourcing a project, and feel like we struck gold on the first strike. The developer has become a fulltime member of our team and has been with us for over 3 years. Communication from NeoSOFT is amazing, face-to-face meetings (pre-covid), phone calls, Skype communications and emails.

NeoSOFT immediately understood our needs, which was a huge relief! NeoSOFT also understood our business and what we were trying to achieve, which I believe has allowed them to forecast what we would need into the future.

They get it. They invested a lot of time into us to understand and get to know us. Years before we had anything to offer them. Their approach is very professional and their setup is impressive. Every other company I met at the trade show seemed far more interested in their business and meeting their business targets. NeoSOFT are different.

They understand that by making it about us and making sure we meet our goals and business targets, they meet their own. It's a symbiotic relationship and NeoSOFT know that our success is their success. It's a subtle but important distinction because NeoSOFT work very hard for their clients.

I've sat here for awhile now looking at a blinking cursor thinking how I can answer this question. And truthfully in the 3yrs since we've been with NeoSOFT, we've not had a single complaint or concern. Their developer has become a member of our family.

MVP development from scratch. I had the business idea and know the features I wanted to see incorporated in the platform. The goal was to have a full working MVP to launch and test the business idea.

Terap is the second project that I work with Neosoft. The first was was a much simpler e-commerce MVP. The MVP was built on Magento. Terap is a much more complex platform. I was confident to work with Neosoft due to my previous experience in the Magento project.

The project was broken down in 2 major phases: Phase 1: Business analysis. lasted from October 2020 to January 2021. Neosoft assigned a business analyst to Terap. We crafter together a 200 pages document including the software requirement specs.

The output also included the wireframes, a clickable product that helps understand the product navigation and features. This phase was also intended to dimension the effort required to build the product. In this phase, the development was phased in 18 sprints of 2 weeks each. The outcome of every sprint is also defined in this phase. Phase 2: Neosoft assigned 4 developers to code as per the SRS and the sprint planning.

The project has met expectations. Slightly behind on timing, which is understandable. The team has been flexible to incorporate new features I have requested post finishing the project.

In my opinion, we should have addressed this request with the project manager and the lead developer, since they know much better the project after 10 months working on it. Getting the BA up to speed has taken time and caused delay.

2 people worked for us, 1 to produce the specification and the other to develop the working models. The person who put the initial tender together always stayed in touch to make sure things were going right and to see how they can help.

We did not launch the app, covid messed it up and drove many businesses into launching their own apps for purchasing food and drink. We did not have enough funds to take things further.

None that I can think of, as they immediately adjusted to our time zone and presented multiple ways to communicate, whichever we felt comfortable with.
